London Terrorist Attacks

I know it's absolutely crazy! We're all humans, we're all people, we're all one big breed of the same thing. Why all of this pain, hurt and terro, and for what? FOR WHAT?

This could also give some Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots not too accepting of one another some food for thought.

My father was watching the news and it says that 2 Cypriots were among the injured. Can anybody confirm this?

These people are anti westerners. They blame the west for the arab jew problem. They blame the west for carving up Arabia, after the collapse of the Ottomans and controlling some of these present day arab states. They blame all the middle east problems at the feet of the west. They fight America and Britain and anyone who supports them. They use religion as a means of trying to gain the further support of the Muslim world claiming that they are fighting Islamic oppressors who are persecuting all moslems.

The scary part is they keep pouring into Iraq and willingly face death to fight for this cause. Some come in the belief they are fighting a religious war. Their propaganda must be great or these people are religiously educated from a very young age. This is not any religious war though.

I haven’t got a clue who they are or where they come from, or even what they want they just keep coming. If Iraq war stopped today they would find another way to attack the west. Probably get involved in the palestinian cause. Who finances these people?

It wouldn't surprise me Pete. Consider that there are around 200,000 Cypriots in London, i.e. 1 in 30 Londoners are Cypriots.

LMS, this has nothing to do with the UK being a violent society, it has everything to do with a bunch of fanatics who misinterpret the Qu'ran to meet their own ends, and who decide to attack soft targets, i.e. everyday people on their way to work and school.

As for the Islam issue, large numbers of Muslims have probably been injured by these bombs today. The people who perpetrated this don't care for human beings or for fellow muslims, they only care about their own twisted ideology.
