It wouldn't surprise me Pete. Consider that there are around 200,000 Cypriots in London, i.e. 1 in 30 Londoners are Cypriots.

Any way this could b confirmed?

We'll have to wait a while Pete, it's too soon re.

I think it's important that anyone who feels Muslims in general are responsible for this should read this piece from CNN. Sorry I can't post the text here, but there is a copyright notice posted on this text.

i dont think so. i dont know exactly how close to london you live but i didnt know where my family were at and my friends knew their family would be gettin trains and busses and london. i know i was scared of losing my dad.
but as an over veiw i do thnk this has been blown out of proportion a bit (no disrespect). maybe had something happned to my family my veiws would be different. im just thankful for my safety and the life i have.

Sorry LMS, I don't think the importance of this has been overblown, or that it has been overdramatised. This is the largest terrorist attack on British soil, if you exclude the Lockerbie bombing 17 years ago. Dozens have been killed, almost 1,000 people have been injured and the London transport system was knocked out for most of the day. Also, for many of the people caught up in these incidents today, life will never be the same, whether that be a product of trauma, lost limbs, burns etc.

This has deserved all of the tv and radio coverage it has received. I've been sitting here most of the day watching this and feeling totally numb because I used to travel on many of these routes and had I not quit my job to return to university, I would have been on the Piccadily Line from Kings Cross south at around 8:45am. It's just brought it home to me, how if life had taken a different turn I could have been one of those unfortunate souls either killed or injured. Therefore, we should all be feeling for them and their families tonight. The analysis of who was to blame and what can be done can be left for tomorrow.

i do totally agree i mean 2 days later and i would have been on those trains and yer its a bad thig to hapen in the uk but thousands of people die to terrorism all over the world everyday. im not sayin this isnt bad but i think its not the worse. at least people are alive and not everyone died. the twin towers hundreds of thousand of people died.
