British Airways staff have allegedly been using passengers' credit card details to steal millions of euros.

Anyone who booked a BA flight via a telesales centre in the last 12 months is at risk.

Many victims had their accounts raided directly after booking a BA flight, in a scam that has affected passengers right across Europe.

A police raid on Flyline, BA's booking centre in Bremen, Germany, unearthed significant fraudulent activity.

Britain can't afford to be corrupt

The decision to stop the BAE investigation raises questions about the rule of law and fairness in deciding which cases to prosecute

The Serious Fraud Office’s decision to drop its corruption investigation into the BAE Systems arms deal with Saudi Arabia is still haunting ministers. Within weeks judgment will be given in a High Court challenge brought by the Campaign Against Arms Trade and the Corner House over that decision. And the result will be of more than academic interest. If Lord Justice Moses criticises the Government as trenchantly as he did in court, the case will not only finish in the House of Lords — pressure for reform of the corruption Acts will be overwhelming.

Britain, the US and Switzerland should rank among the world's most corrupt countries, according to a paper delivered to an economics conference at the weekend. The failure of these and other developed countries to clamp down on offshore tax havens is responsible for more hardship than any corrupt acts by third world leaders, a leading tax expert said.

"I would place the United Kingdom high on the list of most corrupt countries," said John Christensen, formerly an adviser to the Jersey government and now director of the Tax Justice Network (taxjustice.net), speaking at the Economic Geography Research Group conference.

Totalitarianism is form of government that includes control of everything under one authority and allows no opposition, according to the dictionary.

Does this sound identical to the way Gordon Brown’s poisonous Labour Government has been heading steadily since 1997 ?

According to Transparency International, Britain is now more corrupt than Sweden, Luxembourg and Germany and former colonies like Australia, Canada and Hong Kong. But how has it come to this?

This website shows the CPI of the UK as 7.3-8.2 and a ranking of 17

whereas Cyprus .............. joint 27th !!!!

I'm not making this a "tit for tat" response- but glass houses and stones springs to mind

England's exam system is "diseased" and "almost corrupt", says a former government adviser in a book on Labour's education policy.

A former director at the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, Mick Waters, says exam boards are conniving in the dumbing-down of school exams.

He also claims the boards profit from textbooks that help teachers with the answers to their own exam questions.

Exam regulator Ofqual said it would investigate claims of impropriety.
