How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Bagis Loses It...

There's a video on this page from Sigma when Bagis is visibly shaken, when he loses it completely. Look at the body language, the fingering of the collar. He loses it so much he tells the MEP Barry Madlener, who was trying to give him a framed cartoon as a present...

..." to put it in an appropriate place" ...!

The cartoon appears in the article.

The background...

Mr Bagis called by PASOK MEP Marilena Koppa to answer why Turkey wants to join the EU when he sees it as "vile," according to what was said in Britain by Pres Gul. Egemen Bagis replied that Turkey wants to become a Member State of the EU "because it may remove the EU from the misery."

Answering a question why Turkey does not open its ports to EU member state Cyprus, Bagis used a Turkish proverb saying "If you give your finger, they will want your arm..."

Minister goes ballistic against far-right MEP in caricature row

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Füle attempted to calm down Bağış, who was visibly angry. Members of the European Union-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee protested Madlener by clapping, and Demirkıran accused Madlener of using the parliamentary platform for the purpose of “provocation.” He also said Madlener had told some members of the committee a day ago that he would come back on Tuesday to fight with Bağış. “Let him come, he can't dare it,” Bağış said...

Bağış later said during the session that Turkey was ready to offer “[psychological] treatment” for Madlener, asserting that some in that session were “suffering from an illness called racism.”

‘We never give up north Cyprus’
ANKARA / NICOSIA
The Turkish European Union minister  said yesterday Turkey would never give up its national cause 8) of Northern Cyprus for the sake of Turkey’s EU membership.
European Union Minister  Egemen Bağış said Turkey has a clear stance regarding the Cyprus issue and it is impossible for Turkey to recognize the Greek Cypriot administration as a state, Anatolia news agency reported.
Turkish Cypriots stayed peaceful regarding the matter despite injustices, he said. “It is impossible for Turkey to sit at the table with an administration that is not recognized by Turkey.” Turkey would not regard the Greek Cypriot administration as an interlocutor during its European Union term presidency, but Turkey’s relations with the European Union would continue, he said. Meanwhile.....,

Reader's Comment:
“It is impossible for Turkey to sit at the table with an administration that is not recognized by Turkey.”. Whereas Turkey expects others to sit at the table with an administration that is not recognized by the world  . The hypocrisy is breathtaking."

Turkey therefore needs to abandon its EU accession application and get the F outta here.

What morons these EU people to keep talking to this terrorist state given the treatment of one of its members. Ok, tofay Cyprus tomorrow who, where do you draw the line. Give these criminals a finger and they'll take your arm. No sir, it is about time the EU stood upto these terrorists and showed them who is boss.

We have 27 nations who all have to meet strict criteria to join and here come the towel head camel jockeys and want in on their terms. Well my answer to them, is go F yourselves.

I'm sick to death with the lack of action from the RoC, turkey has given us ample opportunities for us to knock her down, but do they do anything, NOOOOOOO! just keep talking, what a bunch of wankers, its time some took that little commie piece of shit out.

Enough said.

I think what Bagis saying is, both the GCs and the TCs can go and fcuk themselves, because we want the north for Turkey.

More theatrics from Bagis.

Bagis, the north belongs to the EU, just in case you didn't know.

Looks like Turkey is going to be "kicked off" the island, because they are not going to go away peacefully!

‘We never give up north Cyprus’
ANKARA / NICOSIA
Tuesday,December 6 2011

The Turkish European Union minister said yesterday Turkey would never give up its national cause of Northern Cyprus for the sake of Turkey’s EU membership.

Meanwhile, Turkey offers to pay the compensation for Greek Cypriot property in the north by providing them water, daily Hürriyet reported yesterday.

The project aims to carry water from the Dragon River in Anamur, a town of Turkey’s southern province Mersin, to northern Cyprus. Greek Cypriots who met with Turkey’s ambassador to Athens Kerim Uras, former general-director of the Greece-Cyprus desk of the Foreign Ministry, leaked the news, according to Greek Cyprus daily Phileleftheros. The daily said this issue will be discussed in the Greece-Cyprus desk of the Foreign Ministry this week.

Eggman gets egged

Bağış was listening to a speaker when two students started shouting "AKP [ruling Justice and Development Party] get out of our university," and hurled eggs at the minister. Bağış's bodyguards opened umbrellas to protect the minister but an egg hit Bağış under his right eye, causing his cheek and eye to redden.

The protestors were taken away and detained by the police.

Bağış said he was not angry at the students, but pitied them, calling them "pawns of a pathetic mentality."

It appears that, it is not only Cyprus at crossroads, but Turkey also!

Bağış warns of critical 2014 for Turkey and EU

“We cannot leave Cyprus and Turkish Cypriots for the EU, as we cannot abandon Turkey’s EU target for Cyprus,” Bağış said.

In response to Ertugrul Kurkcu, who addressing the Turkish Grand National Assembly, described the events of 1974 as an invasion. Bagis the Clown states...

It is a very serious result for an MP to call the Turkish army occupier ... I have given very important struggles and entered into very important debates at the European Parliament or at various platforms of many EU member states to persuade that the peace operation carried out by Turkey in 1974 secured peace without anyone's nose to bleed. I have always felt proud of doing this in various parliaments and of defending my country.

If the EU member states decide to lift some extremely irrational and unnecessary political obstacles on Turkey's 18 chapters, we are in the position of breasting with you all together and succeed in the opening of 10 chapters in 12 months and of 15 chapters in 18 months".
