When it comes to Intel on Iran, electronic means and public sources are over credited I think. The truth is there’s no shortage of people in the country that despise their theocratic dictatorship and its medieval Morality Police mentality. Like all tyrannies the leadership’s greatest fear is of its own people so, like all tyrannies, a lot of resources have been invested in domestic suppression. Last year Iran executed almost 1000 of its population. 64% of all of those recorded on the planet. That won’t include events like the gratuitous murder of POWs of course.

So, it seems there’s been no shortage of humint coming out. Such, that a lot of effort’s gone into the covert recruitment and training of Khameini’s present bodyguards, with literally just a few in the picture. Info about their top people has leaked out like a sieve which is why so many of them were despatched so quickly.
