This is a false poll. You should've added "Turkish Cypriot" to the options list as well.

One more thing: There is no Greek Cypriot nationality. There is Cypriot nationality. Turkish Cypriot nationality is a de facto one, only recognised by Turkey. NAtionality represents citizenship, so in theory there is no Greek Cypriot state, thus no Greek Cypriot nationality.

theres no such thing as a turkish cypriot, theres such thing as a turk living in cyprus, no more then that. i cant rename my poll to deal with your semantics but how about people answer this question.

what is your background?

Then there is no point for you to make such polls, since you are no more than a bigot and nobody will take you serious in this forum if you keep such attitude.

Niko:

In Cyprus there are Cypriots and OTHER nationalities like other Europeans, Russians, Pakistani, Indian etc. Turkish Cypriots are Cypriots as they where born in Cyprus. Greek Cypriots are also Cypriots as they where born in Cyprus also. We say Greek and Turkish Cypriot to distinguish between the two peoples cultural heritage. NOBODY SAID TURKISH CYPRIOT OR GREEK CYPRIOT IS A NATIONALITY. Garbitsch is right!

A true Cypriot as far as I am concerned is any person born in Cyprus regardless of their parentage.
