In general I try to treat people with respect, and never call them "first class arse". I do not even call them stupid, usually I prefer the milder you act stupidly verion.

As for me being racist ...

I try to understand the pain of both communities. The image I posted before was in response to Piratis attempt to dimish the pain of the TC community. It is completely wrong TCs have been hurt badly, as badly as GCs.

I did not diminish anything. The TCs had victims too. However their victims were far less and their suffering was for a much shorter period. Now this is a simple fact and nothing more or less than that.

For once stop contradicting yourself - diminishing means tyring to make something appear as far less.

If I were to follow your logic I could say the greek suffering was even shorter, it lasted only a fews days during the 74 war, whereas the TCs suffered for a whole decade.

But I will not do this out of respect for all those GCs who lost loved ones, unlike your sometimes insulting attitude towards the losses of TCs.

Piratis and main-source

I want you to take a good look at that photo of that Turkish woman. Look a bit closer and you will see small children. I was three and a half years old when I heard those women screaming and crying for their loved ones. I don’t care what came before then, be it a Piratis decade (that seems to grow by the minute) or a million years. So suffering that you know nothing about but you keep complaining constantly, falls on deaf ears. You pretend to care what happened 200 years ago to make a point. Create your ENOSIS and make your war and then watch as you and your children suffer with the screams in your ears for the next forty years.

I never went to Turkish school because we were chased out of our country by EOKA terrorists.

Bg_turk, I know personally the woman of the photo you posted and I also know her sorry story. She comes from a Karpas village (Komi Kepir) and she lost her husband with her 16 year old sun.

When the Turkish army reached her village men over 18 were put on one side and women and children on the other. Her young son opted to go with his father and a TC soldier told him to go back with the women. He insisted and another soldier said "let him go with his father". The army told them that all the detainees would be freed soon.

The next day, the mass graves were found of the killings committed by the GC's in Aloa, Maratha and Sandalaris. The Turks, took their anger on the men of the village of Komi Kepir. Officially they are missing but of course, they were shot in cold blood, adding another link to the chain of senseless killings that ravaged our island.

I am sorry for her loss Bananiot, thank you for telling her story. I really appreciate it. It is a horrible loss, and I hope she will be able to bury her lost ones properly.

I have seen that picture so many times, but I never knew what the story behind it was. Now when I look at it I will at least have some understanding of what went on.

HELLO!? are you trying to say only TC suffered!? lol

How about some of the 18 year old young men of Nicosia (many of who were my dads personal friends) who were senseleslly hung by the British opressors and their TC conspiritors. Back in the 1950's, there was not much intercommunal violance...but TC still sided with the British to hurt and kill GC who wanted to have their democratic rights exercised for the first time in hundreds of years in their own home.

I dont care if you call EOKA
terrorists...thats the term the British used for freedom fighters within the British colonies. Besides, most of the people here who label all of EOKA terrorists are Turks who still want to rule Greeks under the Ottoman Empire.
