It seems that these proceedings, which started two years ago, were recently postponed yet again for the sixteenth time. Given that Turkey is a guarantor of the Republic of Cyprus, it is hard to see what offence this couple are charged with. Does anybody know where I can find the indictment?

Does anybody know what became of the Turkish Cypriot named Kamil Hür, who used to display the Republic of Cyprus flag in front of his house in Nicosia every year on 16 August to mark the anniversary of the founding of the republic. He kept getting taken in by the police for questioning but was never charged, as far as I know.

flying the flag is not an offence. they are charged with disturbing the peace apparently. quite what peace they have disturbed no body can quite figure out. the delays are quite hard to understand.
