The number 4 of my Loves contains perhaps a slightly political input but it is not meant the least political.

Having been on the CY for more than 8 years my views on certain subjects are well known and have been highlighted on numerous occasions.

WESTERN WORLD CULTURE.

By no means do I wish to offend other cultures, I'm mereley expressing my utmost love and admiration of our Western world culture. Our democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of faith, believe or not believe, accept or reject based on our own exclusive logic and free from ancient old " mythological" doctrines and cultural behaviour.

Im not religious, but I respect everyones right to be or not to be. My other third, as well as her family are religious, they do go to church regularly, they pray, they worship.
I do not but I fully respect their right to do so.

If I was living in some countries I would be dead by now, or rather killed for holding views not tolerated by the religious nonsense.

In some countries parents that send their little girls to school are considered ...heroes !!!

Not everything is perfect in the West by a long stretch but likewise not everything is perfect with democracy, the alternative however would be a dictatorship and a theocratic regime that sentences a young British girl to one year in prison for the horific crime of attending a ...game.

Our women are liberated, they do not get stoned to death if raped!!

Some of you may think that I consider the Western world culture as superior to other cultures, I dont promote this as it would be paramount to saying that life is superior to death.

The UK is by no means perfect but we have the most cherished right to express our views without the fear of a knock at the door. Millions lost their lives defending our way of life, lets remember them this November and thank them for their supreme sacrifice, by the way none died strapped to explosives and blowing them selves up indiscriminately murdering innocent bystanders.

There will be a slight delay in finishing my revelations due to a freak accident that has hospitalized me.

Tuesday early morning as I was taking my dog to the park came across a vicious Staffordshire Bull dog, a fight ensued with my usually very placid dog, trying to pull them apart took a good 5 minutes.
After pulling them apart the staff attacked me sticking his teeth in my arm, people rushed to help, the dog had me for about 5 minutes from tearing deep into my arm.
Nearly passed out, ambulance arrived
That's why I'm in St Georges hospital having had a minor operation
Hope to go home tomorrow

I will temporarily interrupt the ongoing ,unfinished as yet, thread and bore you a little more with my recent experienced following a ....fight with a vicious Staffordshire bull terrier.

The ambulance took me to Mayday Hospital, now called Croydon University Hospital, the change of name deemed necessary in order to disguise the bad name this hospital had, often referred to as Maydie. I knew the hospital well but Tuesday morning, almost unconscious I did not raise any objections to be taken there. This vicious dog had my arm for about 5 minutes, Staffs are known in that their jaws lock and do not readily let go. The wounds were very deep, the lower one on my arm very deep exposing the bone.

In they took me where a while later a doctor ??? examined my wound, administered a tetanus injection while asking a nurse to clean my wound dress it after sealing the gaping whole with sticky strips,( something you don't do with dog bites) gave me antibiotics and sent me home.

I knew something was not quite right the following morning when the bandage was soaked with blood, fingers and arm swollen and beginning to look blue.

I was given a lift to St Georges hospital in Tooting, one of UKs finest hospitals. I was seen pretty quickly, had the blood-stained bandage removed, assessed the wound and immediately a young male doctor arrived, a Plastic surgeon apparently. He examined my wound, my fingers that I could not move and immediately took me to a clinic accompanied by two of his colleagues.

He told me that he has to anaesthetize my arm and that he had to carry out a minor surgery, informing me that septicaemia was a very serious threat and treatment with antibiotics, intravenously administered had to commence. The operation lasted just over an hour, using a surgical scalpel he removed the dead skin and begun the process of cleaning the wound properly this time.

Prior to this, an X-ray was taken. I was taken to the ward where I was attached to antibiotic intravenously and prepared for the theatre !! It was about 10.30 am . My theatre entrance, I was told, was to be at 6pm in order to allow the by now properly looked after wound to settle and the antibiotics to take effect .Nil by mouth, therefore being a diabetic another substance, glucose and salt, was also administered intravenously.

Just before 6, a lady Plastic surgeon entered the ward along with the wonderful and very caring professional who looked after me earlier on. The arm had to be held up using a foam "container" and held up on a stand.

She undid the dressing, examined my wound, my hand and fingers who by now begun to respond, held a minor conference with her colleagues and announced that I would not be going to the theatre that evening.

To cut a long story short, the professionalism and utter care shown by the Plastic surgeon, his name is Dun or Dan, I will find out when I visit next Thursday.

What ever his correct name is, D has my gratitude and thanks, a young professional who has gained my upper respect.

I'm back home now, as its obvious, my right hand and typing fingers functioning almost perfect , hope they do so on the next ....assignment

Oh my goodness, Milty !!! How is your poor dog?

(I only ask because you're, thankfully OK now, right. Perastika, filakia etc)

And, where was the frigging owner of the staffy? I hope the police took the dog off the streets.

After we managed to get the dogs apart, my dog was tied to a lamp post. The other dog was still on the lead when he pounced on me. The Staffs are known for their jaw locking and strength. Many people were trying to get it off me but the more they tried the more the Staff hurt me, as I fell to the ground buckets of water were poured over the dog and a couple of builders were knocking the dog. Police arrived and eventually the beast let go.

The owner of this beast was being aggressive to me as I was on the ground, flat out. The ambulance arrived and begun administering oral pain killers. I have some photos which when I download I will post.

Making a good progress now, fingers and wrist coming back to life and the swelling subsiding.

I love dogs, always have done, and my dog certainly loved me because when members of my staff arrived, the attack was practically opposite my shop, my Lennie steadfastly refused to leave my side. Himself suffering an eye injury and other bites on his head, he is a big strong dog but such a placid dog.

I shall be taking action tomorrow ensuring that this vicious animal gets what he deserves in order to protect other ....young men like me. I have since learned that this dog had bit 3 other people in the past.
Thank you for your good wishes, shortly will return to my last 3 ...Pet ...loves !!!

...unfortunately, it is not the dog but its owner that really needs taking care of. although, pitbulls have this ferocious side, they are nanny dogs, and ultimately one of the best breeds around babies, if you check out google; what a story, glad to hear you are better, miltiades.
