Once again, what Turkey has is of no consequence when it is in Turkey.

The RoC Government has actually done a reasonable job of building the CNG's capability towards the threats they are likely to encounter on the island.

I've got the feeling you are a little TC kid that wants to compare what Turkey has compared to what the CNG has.

The Turkish air force and missiles can be in Cyprus within minutes, and the navy within a few days. And if they needed to upgrade/increase their army they could do it as well whenever they feel like.

Anyway, I am done discussing with idiots what should be obvious to anybody who is not retarded.

Turkey is a country 100 times bigger than us and that should be enough to know the result of any war between us. But if that was not enough there is also the historical facts:

1. Turkey has already defeated our army and is occupying 1/3rd of the island
2. Our army has not been able to reclaim even a centimeter since then.
3. The Turkish army expanded its occupation in 2000 to include Strovillia. Our Army was again unable to protect RoC territory.
4. Turkish army does whatever it wants in our EEZ. Our army is unable to protect our EEZ.
5. Turkey prevented us from bringing the S-300 missiles in Cyprus which shows that we can't be any stronger than Turkey would allow.

You don't like the truth and you prefer to keep dreaming? Have nice dreams ;)

Don't talk to me about the Turkish Air Force and it's missiles.

They will be as effective against the CNG as the coalition against DAESH!

Sure they will get a few of our guys and our armour, but they can't defeat the CNG.

As to the hundred times bigger, I provided you with an example where 108 troops fought bravely against 2500 troops and it was in fact the 2500 that surrendered to the Australians or retreated, if they were left still standing.

They outnumbered the Australian soldiers 25 to 1.

They already defeated the CNG. We are not DAESH or the Taliban.

You (or your parents) left from Cyprus because it wasn't good enough for you. And you expect from Cypriots to live in ruins like in Syria?

In what way am I coward and you are not? If serving in the army is an act of bravery then I am at least as brave as you are. What have you done more than me? Saying that you can defeat the Turkish army is not an act of bravery. You might say that you can defeat the whole world if you want. That wouldn't make you any braver, it would just mean that you are an idiot making idiotic claims.

I never claimed such thing, you did. But I don't feel the need to trash the CNG to look good infront of the Turk. You just embold them. Yes Turkey has a mighty military, but the CNG can hold its own, albeit for a short time. Why just open the door for anyone to walk in uncontested. The CNG is for defense purposes, of course we can't attack, but imagine if we had nothing, do you think Turkey would not just walk over?

If we all had your mentality we would all have committed mass suicide by now.

Like I said I would rather die standing than sitting.

If you want to die standing we don't need to waste millions. Grigoris Afxentiou is the best example of somebody who died standing and he didn't have any of that. But the 99.9% of people are no such heroes. They will fight for as long as they have a chance of winning the battle. If they have zero chance then they will surrender rather than die.

Are you serious, you think Turkey is going to give you a rose petal road and a ham sandwich when you surrendered? Or to you think, from their past experience, that they will just kill you, torture you and bury you in a mass grave.

So you choose, you die fighting for your country, countrymen, families of the GC, or you just drop you weapon and die anyway, leaving all other to the Turks.

I know what I would rather since death is for sure (99.9%), I take my chances and do as much damage as I can before I go and if I get a lucky break to live another day, that is a bonus. I read your cowardice words and I cannot believe that some poor mother has shat a GC coward that would just give in without a fight. Hade gamisou, your kind make me sick to the back teeth. With friends like you, who needs enemies!

My parents left Cyprus and Cyprus is good enough for me.

I don't expect to see Cypriots live under Turkish Rule. Obviously you don't mind as long as you don't live in a ruin.

Cypriots are better armed and trained than DAESH and the Taliban.

the americans are better armed than the taliban and the iraqi insurgants and yet they are unable to defeat them. same thing goes for vietnam and korea. no good having arms if you do not have the stomach to fight.

Why were there 1000s of Cypriots prisoners of war in 1974? Why didn't they fight till the end? Why are you here talking now? Either you or your father should have died fighting in 1974 instead of surrendering or running away.

If Cyprus is good enough for you then why didn't you return to serve in Cyprus army and pay your taxes here?

Cypriots were living under Turkish rule for 4 centuries and under many other rulers for 1000s of years. If we would rather die fighting than live under foreign rule then our ancestors would have all died fighting long time ago and there wouldn't be any Cypriots left today. Your words of bravery are just empty words. History proves that Cypriots would rather surrender and would rather live under foreign rule than fight to death. Of course running away from foreign rule and abandoning our land to the enemy is also a popular option that 100s of thousand of "brave" Cypriots choose.
