I reckon the Turks shot it down 100%. They were never going to be messed with.

I don't think the Turks care about the Russian Gas and Russia wouldn't turn it off anyway because the Turks are probably there only customer. They will only turn it off if they decide to make Turkey pay for what it did, and we all know very well that Putin won't do that because of NATO and because he is peeing his pants as we speak.

You will see soon enough.

We all know what the Turks are like. They were never going to just accept the incursions or the locks on their aircraft. Australia, UK, and even the USA might, but Turkey and Israel just won't!

We have too many cool heads in the West, but the Turkish and Israeli Military are a different kettle of fish!

Good on them too for giving Putin the finger! Now that Turkey has done this, the rest of us have Article 5 Obligations to consider but more importantly, I think Putin knows it too.

Forget it… they’ve only taken Su-24, Su-25 and Su-34.

No, there are MIG31 there as well.

The Syrian's have them too, but we all know they would never engage a Turkish Aircraft.

No one has officially claimed it was a MIG31 either. It could be anything.

don't you find it weird that with all the reporters and news agency all over with the exception of the UK daily and express no other agency picked it up?

Express.co.uk has contacted the Turkish government and the Russian military but neither could be reached for comment.

No not at all.

I don't think it is really news until we get confirmation. That might take a while because there are other matters to consider before releasing all this to the Public. Before we humiliate Putin, they will need to get their ducks in a row because Putin may retaliate however it is unlikely. Putin might have a much cooler head than the Turks, or it is even more scared of a confrontation with NATO.

I find it more interesting that Putin has slowed down the tempo significantly. We shall wait and see, but they have gone a bit quiet but too early to tell.

There was more than one paper picking it up.

Only the mainstream like BBC and CNN have not picked it up because the Turks and Americans have been tight lipped and probably they have their reasons for this.

All I know is that the Turks were never going to let this slip. they issued a warning to Russia that they would shoot their planes down if the incursions continued and I for one believed them 100% when the rest of you were making fun of it.

A Turk is a Turk. Nothing new here.

Turks and Israelis are not your typical US, Australian, French, Canadian, or British Military. We are little cuddly teddy bears compared to them. Too many "cool heads" and probably the world should be grateful for that.

Hey idiot, the fact that Turkey is still on the map is enough evidence that they haven’t touched anything Russian.

you do not consider it news till a confirmation but here we are in a number of threads you are banking on it...

the rest I am afraid is wish full thinking...Obama and gang are the only ones humiliated by the Russian moves...for starters now they are saying assad will be part of
1...all negotiations
2...he will be part of government...

in time this will change with assad is a great leader...

If Russia touches Turkey, then damascus is off the map let me give you the tip. There will be no Syrian Airports to fly from.
