I don't think it was a mistake. After the Paris attacks the West and Russia started coming closer together in the aim to defeat ISIS. This was an intentional action by the terrorist state of Turkey aiming to prevent a West-Russia cooperation in the fight against ISIS.

Turkey's problem isn't that but the so called "Turkmen" near Raqqa that got decimated recently. Remember those ISIS thugs with the blue "TRNC" flags? That's them.

Don't you think the best way for Russia to avoid turning this into a NATO-conflict is to hit Turkey in the occupied regions of Cyprus?

NATO cannot say a thing, then. :)

Ooh ooh how clever. You might be right but Pootin still doesn't have the balls because Pootin will be vapourised to Kingdon Come if he ever had a showdown with NATO!

But retaliation against the "trnc" might work.

Well isn't it true to Pootin's form to target defenceless minorities fighting for survival from Assad and DAESH.

The Turkmens were also surrounded by DAESH in Iraq until the coalition saved their towns from complete annihilation from DAESH!

I'm laughing at your would be exports, Turkey has a huge trade volume with the Russians, importing billions of dollars worth of gas. ohh Russian and Turkey a

The vested interests of both Russia and Turkey are too interwind, whilst I expect a reaction I think the Russian retaliation will not be direct but rather by proxy.

Just to help you clear your mind a bit.

1. Turkey-Russia interests have nothing to do with the Russian embargo on Cypriot exports which was placed independently.

2. Russia lifting its embargo on Cypriot exports would in no way affect Turkey-Russia relationships.

3. The products of Cyprus are not for you to judge/ridicule or the eyes of any other anti-cypriot like Paphitis.

4. Russia-EU relationships were also worth billions of dollars, but the Ukraine situation tore all the contracts and led to the wily nily destruction of metric tons upon tons of E.U food imported to Russia.

5. You are not Cypriot.

No, In my opinion Russia can freely destroy anything it wants in Turkey without fear of NATO getting involved because they're Islamist so the West will not come to their rescue. NATO has two sets of rules.

Oh don't be silly Doc!

The West and Russia have been eyeing each other off for a couple of years now. Don't ever think that a common enemy will change that in the foreseeable future.

Cyprus should either stay out of it or choose its side intelligently like Greece has!
