Putin knows it too ...

“The loss today is a stab in the back, carried out by the accomplices of terrorists. I can’t describe it in any other way.”
“Our aircraft was downed over the territory of Syria, using air-to-air missile from a Turkish F-16. It fell on the Syrian territory 4km from Turkey.”
“Neither our pilots nor our jet threatened the territory of Turkey.”
Guardian

I saw the speech!

It was so funny seeing Pootin have a cry and squirm!

Well it looks like Pootin has been slapped by Turkey!

Oh oh! The Turkmens have announced that they have shot the Russian Pilots.

I don't condone that. Very sad!

But I guess if you're bombing them, then what do you expect!

The Turkmens are part of the FSA against Assad. Supported by the coalition.

Cyprus ought to issue a clear warning to Turkey in that any violation of its airspace, internationally recognized, will result in Russia being asked to shoot down any violating Turkish fighter plane.

Turkey has been supporting Isis, there is a plethora of evidence to this effect.
President Putin is no ones fool, even Paphitis must realize this. Turkey will not be easily forgiven for this. Antagonizing Russia is not a clever move.

Turkey of course NEVER violates any nations airspace.
!A formation of Turkish fighter jets violated Greek airspace a total of 20 times on Wednesday before being chased off by Greek aircraft, Kathimerini English reports.

A total of six Turkish fighter jets flying in formation carried out repeated violations of Greek airspace, according to the newspaper, which is one of the most respected in Greece. The reported violations took place in Greek airspace over the north, central, and southern Aegean Sea."

Paphitis:

I find your jubilation over the downing of the Russian SU quite sickening and not much different to the euphoria exhibited by Islamic extremist animals like DAESH with their ‘Allahu Akbar’ war cry! :x

Will you have the same attitude if the Syrians/Russians bring down a coalition jet, using the same legal argument that ‘.... they have a legal right to protect their air space.’? Or maybe either bringing down a couple of Israeli jets, which of course make almost daily incursions into their air space deliberately to attack ground targets within Syria? :?:

Unlike a US response to plane crashes or airliners being shot down, have you noticed how Putin does not leap in with threats based on unconfirmed intelligence? The measured response of a real statesman as he waits for confirmation rather than making knee jerk accusations he could later have to retract. But the US never retracts their accusations, do they, irrespective of lack of evidence to support them. (MH17, Assad's Sarin attacks on his own people .... ring a bell?)

Even using the Turkish RADAR plots of the aircrafts track, the incursion would have lasted around 15-20 seconds at most ........... hardly a threat to Turkey is it? I think Turkey will either end up having to apologise for their ‘mistake’ , which of course Russia would accept (with some compensation?) to defuse the effects of the attack, or they will live to regret their mistake. :o

Quote from a liveLeaker

'Funny how Turkey will attack Russia for entering its air space and not IS for hiding in their territories. Fucking hypocritical pieces of shit.'

According to BBC it was 1km inside Turkey and 6 km high, an easy mistake to make at several hundred MPH. Turkey should have warned Putin about the consequences of repeated incursions rather than shoot a plane down. I doubt NATO will be too happy about Turkey's trigger happy pilots. Would Turkey have dared to shoot down a Russian plane if it was not a member of NATO - I doubt it.
