...i remember the yogurt i got at the market in Varosha, it came from goats. I remember my mother's yogurt made of milk(s) (read: cream and milk)from cows, and my grandmother's which was a mix.

What is the way yogurt is made traditionally, in terms of ingredients, (and temperature). i suppose the one made from goats is the healthiest for you.

IMO, traditional sheep's yoghurt is the best. I prefer those from smaller companies produced in villages.

Those produced from larger companies in Nicosia or Limassol are crap.

Why not balance, what about the topic, what about the rest of us, food for thought, who is kurupetos to you that you can be so offensive to the rest of us?

...is it just ignorance?

I had kleftiko last night, old boy Rich. Along with magarounia dou fournou, louganiga, souvla, and the Cypriot favourite... roast turkey with stuffing!

All that washed down with red wine from Paphos and of course some traditional scotch whisky...

Now I am in the toilet...

The bloke who runs my local chippy in England is from Lefkara. He's just put souvlaki on the menu and I'll be giving it a try soon. I'm assuming it won't be battered

xaloumi on the grill, found in my freezer from five years ago, smuggled into Canada from the village; still better than the stuff they sell for commerce.
