...i would like to see Erdogan defeated in an election, an opposition strong enough to stand on Principals that the public will vote for.

If Erdogan continues, he will surely go too far, he has already isolated himself within an executive that does not provide debate, or new thinking, in their decision making process. It is only a matter of time, too much division has been created, but, among the opposition, it is only natural, given the common adversary, for them to find their common cause.

...June, i'm guessing will be a big month in Turkey, the chapters to be opened will be delayed likely, so much is depending on results, from Erdogan as well. By November, the affects on the economy from this year's horrible events will start to have tangible affects on the economy; is it next year in July that Erdogan must face a poll, himself?

...if Erdogan continues what he is doing, Turkey will be divided into three? (is that what you are saying?)

...indeed, the Natives in America, consider Erdogan's lot like brothers, brothers like the white man, and the black man. I remember when he, Erdogan made this suggestion, no Native Leader supported his claim, then, or now; who cares what Erdogan would like the rest of us to believe, only half the Turkish population is willing to believe this imo nonsense at best, in any case.

...the danger in ignoring him, Lordo, is that he could trigger WWIII, but if you want to look at it another way, consider, many promises have been made, no doubt, and if Obama is hoping for good results, then he will wait until there is a reason to meet, and receive them. One hopes the one to one with Biden, he will have, will convince Erdogan to do a little more than what is expected, like the Halki Monastery, which he can open as promised as a sign of goodwill, a personal gesture that would mean a lot to Obama and his VP, and which will greatly improve Turkey's image in the eyes of the world.

It is my belief that the most recent general elections in Turkey were rigged. OK, Erdoğan as president wasn't actually standing, but everyone knows he wanted and needed a single-party AKP government.

Given that the USA, in common with all neo-imperialist powers, has a long history of supporting and working with dictators when and where it suits their interests (and it is undoubtedly true that Turkey today is still a freer and more democratic place at the stage Erdoğan has currently reached in consolidating his dictatorship than in the early years of the post-1980 coup junta in Turkey, widely believed to have been backed by the Americans), it is interesting to speculate what the real reason may be for Erdoğan losing the American's favour.

I'm very optimistic that this lunatic's time is up. The arrest of Reza Zarrab [my emphasis] must have him worried. Come on USA, bring this man down, you owe it not only to Turkey but to the whole civilised world.

Wouldn't it be a turn up for the books if he were to be arrested under this investigation while in the USA? Apparently the famous father-son intercepted phone calls feature in the indictment.
