In the meantime Standards and Poor's downgraded the UK from AAA to AA.
"S&P strips UK of its triple-A rating after “seminal” Brexit vote"

The downgrading has been long overdue. Brits are among the most debt-ridden people on the planet.

It's almost like this Brexit was orchestrated so that the Tories don't get the blame for mismanaging the economy for the last several years ....

"Something that anybody with a modicum of intelligence would realise ......"

Is that if the UK is outside the EU then the rules will not apply to them and the last thing countries like France and Germany want is to find the export markets and import markets between them and the UK blocked because of some stupid nonsensical legislation dreamed up by the Eu Commissioners.

Think ‘Russian sanctions! Who suffered .... Russia? It certainly had zero impact on the US economy but many EU countries suddenly found they had no market for their agricultural products and other goods ........... Poland destroyed mountains of apples. Russia just found other suppliers or stepped up their own production. There is growing trade between Russia and China and the Asian countries in general; all sorts of goods and services and joint projects are being implemented and the US dollar has been frozen out. Russia supplies China with oil and gas and they pay in Yuan/Roubles or Gold. It’s that old idea of reciprocal agreements ..... the same sort of agreement that will allow us to use the Cypriot healthcare system after the UK is not in the EU and for the same reason ..... Cyprus could not afford not to. Stopping it would have repercussions that would not be in their best financial interests.

If the French/Germans cannot export their products to the UK they have to look outside to other countries ..... who just also happen to be outside of the EU. The rule book implemented by the European Commission will soon be torn up for toilet paper ...... because their rules work against the interests of most of the people.

The days of the EU in its current form, are numbered ........ first to collapse will be the Euro followed by the political structure and from it will rise a new Economic community, not just limited to Europe but a global economic trading partnership between sovereign states.

Brits would travel to France and Germany and buy their cars or cheese or wine directly (as they did before). The elite will be OK. The French and Germans can ask as much as they want for their products.
