It's open season on internal browser modules...

Chromium’s internal Disk Browser is yet another neglected area much like its Media Player, so this too had to be replaced!

The replacement had to provide speed, clarity, ease of use, and the ability to open/play as many file formats as possible from within the browser including the direct communication with our new media player.

Playable files therefore had to be highlighted to stand out and traversing the hard disk also had to be a little more intelligent by taking the user back to the correct scroll length of the parent, etc.

This is a sneak preview of the Classic’s new Disk Browser to appear in the next version as well as a comparison with other browsers:

First, the ghastly Chromium disk browser...

Next up, Firefox's similarly bad version but clearer...

And last, the all new Classic disk browser...

The Classic DJ Studio

I’m pleased to announce that the Classic Browser’s new internal media player “Classic DJ Studio” is now complete, truly spectacular and set to make its debut in v4.4.

The media player operates in two modes… “DJ Mode” and “Solo Mode”:

DJ Mode is for when you want to be in front of the computer screen for manual control where you can play multiple tracks, all at once if desired.

Solo Mode is for when you’re either listening to music on your own, or want to set up an automated play list and abandon the screen like you would at parties.

The player’s background graphics are ever-changing as they are randomly computer-generated and never to be repeated.

The sensitive 8-band graphic equalizer utilized samples frequency every 30.3ms so it will catch every note but to truly appreciate its sensitivity and quality output you’ll have to listen to some quality tracks.

I had to have a crash-course on the basic science of sound to be able to make informed decisions while writing this. :)

Anyway, enough talk… onto some images:

Siga!

The other browsers let me do what I want, and browse the net the way I want to.

The onus is on ME, not them and it shouldn't be up to you either.

No you are not impeding my choices.

I downloaded your browser and quickly said "WTF"!

I quickly uninstalled it and went for a more sensible option that lets me do what I want and configure everything the way I want it!

This post is the most sensible post you have made.
