He did not have the authority to do this and his actions amount to a massive and illegal security breach.

Just 2 days ago, Australian Security Agencies, which can be called the Deep State because they serve the country and people, went to Parliament House and warned all parliamentarians to not communicate with officials of the Russian Federation without approval and even told them to not use email or mobile phones to discuss any official Government business. All official communications to go via the Gonvernments Encrypted System because they have detected serious Russian Government hacks and espionage activities.

Anyone caught acting in contravention could be charged by Breaching Australian Secrets Act. Which means they are listening.

The same applies to all Departments and consulates.

We have a cyberwar.

Yeah, of course, I am sure you are absolutely correct!

Well you better believe it alright.

ASIO spies rocked up to parliament and warned politicians about impending cyber attacks and that all caucus business is to be through The Quantum Network which is an encrypted network used by Australian Government, Foreign Consulates, Defence, Military and so on.

They have had some hacks penetrate the Meteorology Department and others, all emanating from Russia.

They were read the riot act about The Secret Act which carries a minimum 7 year prison term for an inadvertent breach. A deliberate breach carries up to life imprisonment as it's effectively espionage.

Even MPs have been cautioned about their communications via email and phone.

Caucus was also warned that Australian Elections will be compromised and that politicians will be monitored and should not communicate with officials from the Russian Federation.
