Their softly softly walk on eggshells approach only emboldens turkey's illegal actions and to encourage negotiations can only mean a fait accompli to the detriment of both Greece and Cyprus.

It's time to negotiate alright - through the barrel of a 5 inch gun on one of Greece's state of the art Naval Frigates. It's the only way.

No wonder you think that Greece will defeat Turkey which incidentally is NATO's second army in size.
As for your comments concerning ....60% of UK laws enacted by the EU, it proves you know next to nothing about the UK Parliament, for your information ni law can be passed in the House without
MPs voting for it. Why dont you concentrate on playing arm chair General and leave politics since clearly it isn't within your grasp.

It's with that type of attitude that it's best to let Turkey have all the hydrocarbons on a platter because if Greece does not stand up for itself then might as well let Turkey have everything it wants. You might as well bend over! Sometimes it's better dieing than allowing yourself to be raped!

this is exactly the reason why Turkey does what it does, because our politicians and the EU are a bunch of pussies.

And yeh, Greece is a power to be reckoned with militarily but the politicians are a bunch of pussies! Like you! Not the Hellenic Armed Forces who actually believe in themselves.

Greece has a very proud military tradition and history. One the Australian defence Forces are all too familiar with. Our soldiers were brothers with them and vice versa. A fun fact. An Australian digger got up one time and king hit a British Officer for denigrating some Greek Soldiers in Crete. All historical fact recorded in our countries history.

And why did he do that. Because Australian Soldiers and Greek Soldiers liked to party, drink, play cards, gamble, and they liked to fight together and hence they respected each other more than the Brits.

For your information, Greece is about to join the F-35 program, not just as a purchaser of F-35s, but it will be actively involved in the program with the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Denmark and others.

Turkey is about to get the Donald J Trump boot! :D

We have done it your way Miltiades and that has been a total FAILURE.

Your way is capitulation and setting up a fate accompli which jeopardizes Greece's EEZ, and sovereignty.

During IMIA in 1996, there wasn't a single Greek Sailor, Airman, or Special Forces Soldier who was not prepared for war and to fight for their country. They had the upper hand and all the Hellenic Navy Ships were ready. If Greece wanted to, they could have destroyed half the Turkish Navy. the Turks were over a barrel, outgunned, and there were even Greek Submarines in the area which had every Turkish Ship lined up.

If that happened, things would be different today because Turkey would have been embarrassed.

This from the Greek Special Forces that were on the island. Listen to this man! This man is everything you are NOT!

And this from a Greek Naval Captain of one of Greece's deadly Penguin SSM Boats.

I very much doubt that the Greeks would put their life on the line for Cyprus.
Come to think about it , the Greeks fucked Cyprus up on more than one occasion.

Who said they were putting their life on the line for Cyprus?

It was all in IMIA. Had nothing at all to do with Cyprus although it is all interconnected.

And yeh, if it were up to the Greek Soldiers or Hellenic Armed Forces or the people, they would put their lives on the line. It's the politicians who are a bunch of pussies.

What fucked Cyprus is people like you and your stupid half baked patriotism and pussy-hood! It's people like you who want to walk on egg shells because you are too afraid to make your stand as a man. You questioned, Greece's ability to defeat Turkey in a war.

well Miltiades, it depends what kind of war it is. Obviously, if Greece decided to invade Turkey (It won't), then it might lose. but if Greece decides to defend its EEZ by any means, or decided to be more polemic during the IMIA crisis, then yes, it can beat Turkey hands down. It depends on the circumstances doesn't it? Greece isn't exactly militarily weak. On the contrary, it has a very capable military which is more than capable of giving Turkey a very big blood nose.

The entire East Med pipeline from Israel to Italy depends on Cyprus having an EEZ bordering on the Greek EEZ. Something Turkey is directly challenging and what is at stake are trillions worth of Cypriot and Greek owned hydrocarbons within the Cypriot EEZ and the Greek EEZ south of Crete and the Aegean. Get over yourself and start using your brain.

And where is the EU over all this? Sucking Erdogan's dick is where. they are pussies too.

But not according to people like you. You don't believe in post BREXIT Britain, you don't believe in Greece, and you certainly do not believe in Cyprus.

Today, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Israel must stick together against the criminal Turks. the time for talk is over sunshine. Greece now has to make some very tough decisions and if that means killing a few Turks on a Drilling ship like the Israeli's did to the Turks a few years ago when they tried to break the Gaza sanctions blockade, then so be it.

No other choice. You can't negotiate with mongrels. That's the bottom line. It's time to put some Turkish metal on the bottom of the sea floor.

It's the only thing the criminal EU, Americans and Russians will take notice of.

the crime was committed in the south. tcs were killed by tcs in the south. if this was pre 1974 the evidence would be given to the tc courts as thats what it says in the constitution of the roc. tc could not be tried by a gc judge.

so why did gc authorities hand over the evidence? after all they handed over the bodies right?
it was a political decision because if they did they will be seen to recognise trnc. they would rather see the criminal go free than to be seen to be recognising trnc. now this is not recogninition except in the minds of your average greek sheepriot.

i put the cause of the problem to the stupidity of the gc authorities playing political games.

however lets us not forget that the reason why this fellow moved south was becasue he bankrupted his bank and stole millions of pounds from his investors and of course gc authorities refused to hand him over too. althouth trnc did not persue him because they appreciate what the gc authorities are like, the mafia does not have any such problems.

It is people with similar attitudes to you who in 1974 handed Turkey half of Cyprus. They were naive extremists just like you who believed that the destiny of Cyprus had but one goal. Union with Greece. Immense hatred for the Turkish Cypriots as well as those who did not share their extremist views. Only genuine negotiations can lead to a solution, war would have immense catastrophic consequences both for Greece and Cyprus. Believing in your self is one thing but having dellusional thoughts is a different matter.

The EU , is here to stay and will grow stronger and go forth ad a world force.

I wasn't even born in 1974.

It's your generation that fucked that up and not only that, it is still your generation who are a bunch of pussies and still stuffing everything up and giving everything away to Turkey on a silver platter because your are pussies and don't have any balls!

If everyone is like you Miltiades, we might as well give up now and give everything to Turkey on a silver platter. Make no mistake about it, if we are all pussies like you, then Cyprus and Greece don't deserve any of the Natural Gas.

grow some archidkia yero! Don't be such a pussy all your life.

The EU is finished...

How will it get stronger without the £350m a week the UK sends...?

They won't be able to pay the bar bill, let alone fund an EU army and expand the bloc...
