Everyone would be better off if they withdrew from Cyprus and minded their own business in Turkey.

Makes you wonder what they do it all for because they certainly dont receive any benefits from it.

On the contrary every ones standard of living is degraded, but theirs more so than others.

So when turkey says she has rights in cyprus’s Eez under international law, what law is she referring to that gives her that right?

Similarly, the tc claim that they have rights to the gas in cyprus’s Eez. What law are they referring to that gives them that right?

What law gives them the right to license Cypriot gas fields to turkey?

You say Cyprus doesn’t have an eez and the law of the sea doesn’t count. Then in the same breath, you have rights to cyprus’s National resources that belong to her, that are hers in accordance with the un law of the sea.

And turkeys claims overlap everything too.

You muppets (Turkish officials and tc “ authorities” ) are going on record and telling the world you have rights under international law. But you are only showing the world the inconsistencies in every position you try and take.

Turkey is a rogue state. The “trnc” is an illegitimate Turkish pariah affiliate. Everyone can see that. You keep yourselves from gaining recognition simply because you have no legitimacy.

Use your head and think, it’s not just for carrying your brain.

Yesterday there was yet another official statement reiterating the Turkish position that islands do not have EEZ. Apparently there is an exception in the case of the TRNC, perhaps because it part of an island, not a whole island, and they publish maps showing its EEZ extending to almost the whole coast of Cyprus.

Nice to have neighbors with principles.

Yes, they are very principled,

Erdogan is willing to take the US to an international arbitration court to get the money back that was paid in to the F35 program.

But when it comes to settling disputes with smaller neighbors, such as EEZ disputes, he only knows about gunboat and anti aircraft missile diplomacy.
