That is highly debatable.

If the EU insinuated or insisted that each Stte consult their people, then that would be a Democratic act which is beyond criticism in my view as a Democrat.

They didn't do that which means they are fair game. 23 EU States didn't consult with the people so they too are fair game.

It's not good when you are not feeling good.

I think you should just relax a bit and go for a walk down the foreshore of Limassol.

Yes I have seen Psychologists before. I had to see one when I had a major incident some years back at work.

I am also on a professional board that offers these services to professional people in my field.

Whenever we have an accident, it is a major instruction that our members speak to the Union Accident/Incident agent, an appointed Psyche and our lawyers and not speak to anyone else.

The EU has no legal right or power to insist such. That is not debatable. That is just a fact. That you call the EU a criminal entity when it has not broken any laws and then criticise it for not breaking laws and violating members states sovereignty, that you think it should break and violate, just shows how confused and muddled your position is imo.

This isn't about any legal right or power.

It should have instructed and in my view that would be a good step in the right direction and a fairly good act on their part. They didn't, which does not absolve them then of any responsibility of criticism.

So you start with 'according to the Lisbon treaty....' and now you claim 'This isn't about any legal right or power'. Such confused and muddled thinking.

I repeat. The greatest knowledge the General will ever achieve is the knowledge that he knows nothing.

OK you have had a good run. Back to Coventry for you buster because I am not going to stoop down to these levels and make pointless posts.

The EU had an opportunity when it asked all EU Member states to approve and ratify the Treaty. On such an important issue with such severe consequences over each member's sovereignty as the Lisbon Treaty, they could have told each member to consult the people. The fact that the EU and most EU States neglected to provide their citizens an opportunity to have their say, leaves them exposed on very shaky undemocratic ground.

They are open to criticism.

Back to Coventry for you

I think you should hang your head in shame and look in the mirror.

You have become a very bitter man. I will repeat myself again. I suggest you take some deep breaths and go for a walk.
