In an apparent effort to get to the moon first (Oops, wrong national prestige race  ) it appears they’ve skipped phase III of the trials.

If it works that’s fine by me. No............after you. :D

we wouldn't be allowed to have such vaccines from Russia because they do not meet our regulatory requirements.

Before a vaccine is approved in America or Britain, it has to be tested on something like 10,000 people to study if there are any adverse affects or even death.

Human guinea pigs do die, so our authorities need to establish the risks and whether those risks are acceptable or not. Certifying a drug in America or UK isn't an easy process that can occur overnight like in pootinland.

Facts.

New Zealand having implemented a swift and comprehensive temporary lock down has achieved a death rate per million pop more than two orders of magnitude less than Sweden has achieved. That is one hundred times less death from covid in New Zealnad compared with Sweden. It is also on course for a GDP contraction in Q2 of half the drop Sweden has recorded. It currently, unlike Sweden, has no restrictions internally at all. Less death, less economic impact and no ongoing internal restrictions. That is what the facts show to date yet 'anti lockdown' fanbois like CG just ignore these facts. How utterly predictable.

I was going to post something along the lines of, "are you completely mental?" but then I realised that of course you are so there was no point... :?

NZ is the size of the UK with a fraction of the population... They've just gone back into Lockdown because of four new cases (I have family there in Auckland and it is shite)...

And as for your facts...

You are not just completely wrong, you are a proven liar...

Shame on you, a proven liar...

Anybody that has access to Google* can now see you are a liar... I have family there, (in Auckland) they will confirm that you are a liar...

They had restrictions before the new Lockdown which makes you... A liar...

I gave figures comparing Sweden with NZ that were per head of population and projected quarter 2 % GDP drop. The question still remains despite all your attempts to avoid it. If lock down is such a bad approach and Sweden's approach so good why does NZ to date have a covid19 death rate PER HEAD OF POPULATION over 100 times lower than Sweden has achieved and with projected less impact on the economy in terms of GDP growth as a % to boot ? Of course you will avoid this question. You have to.

Until this most recent re imposition of lock down, which occurred AFTER my post quoted above, there were no internal social distancing measure in place in NZ. Internally everything was as it was pre covid, schools since June 8th , shops, work places, sporting events, concerts and everything else. You just show your desperation. Everything I said was entirely accurate at the time it was said. You can not face the arguments so true to form you resort to such pathetic attempts to try and brand me a liar. No different from you calling the BBC liars I guess when they present you with facts you can not handle.

New Zealand is in a bad spot forcing it to go back and forth into and out of lock down.

Similar to Australia. Victoria currently in full lock down. New Zealand going back into lock down as well.

New South Wales and Queensland also going into lock down just because of a few cases.

Only place that is an actual concern is Victoria. Most states have no cases or the odd 1. New south Wakes has a daily number that you can count on 2 hands.

So it’s highly questionable whether this approach is the right approach.

A full comprehensive study needs to be done but the authorities are not being completely honest. In order to reduce the spread of COVID, we lock down the population, but have created another far greater problem than COVID itself. A much bigger risk to our health and well being and which has already claimed more lives.

I now know an individual personally who couldn’t get home to his family in Fiji. He was stuck in Sydney and in isolation. He committed suicide. Early 20s.

This is what I don’t understand. And if the State Government thinks I’m voting for them just because they went all tough and did the lock down, then they got another thing coming. No chance until I see a full acknowledgement of all the other damage they caused which I have reason to believe has already claimed the lives of nearly 800 Australians.
