I’ll catch you in the near future, peoples.

My on and only entertainment during my rehab at home and you fuck it right up by deserting CF

You tell him, MR. :D

Kiks, you, GR, LR, Lordo, Max and Paphitis are the main actors of the forum. Any one of you abandoning this fucking place will be a huge loss. Keep posting guys

Hey! I’m not acting. :(

I agree. Say what you like about GR’s efforts but they’ve never been lacking in entertainment value.

So MR. How you doing these days? Much better I hope.

Thank you for asking LR. I am doing well. Dr's that see me, physio therapists that visit me at home all tell me I'm doing remarkably well. I of course feel that I should be doing better and I have good days and bad days. I can now walk without the Zimmerframe but get tired and breathless within 20-30 steps.

My wife's a great cook and serves me the best of Mediterranean dishes but I'm unable appreciate them as everything I eat is too salty and metallic. I have pains n my hands and feet and it's been months but the pain continues. I sometimes convince myself that I will never fully recover from Covid and suffer from depression.

Kiks has been great support and we exchange PMs regularly. Kiks brother had Covid and had similar symptoms to mine and he has apparently made good recovery. Hearing this from Kiks give me hope for the future. Tae care guys and please keep posting :)

Stick in there. Best wishes.

This is a very interesting incident regartding covid.

He was mocking vaccination to his last breath and asked Jesus to save him. I wonder what he told his god if inedeed god does exist which is not very likely.

A California man who mocked Covid-19 vaccines on social media has died after a month-long battle with the virus. Stephen Harmon, a member of the Hillsong megachurch, had been a vocal opponent of vaccines, making a series of jokes about not having the vaccine.

"Got 99 problems but a vax ain't one," the 34-year-old tweeted to his 7,000 followers in June. He was treated for pneumonia and Covid-19 in a hospital outside Los Angeles, where he died on Wednesday. In the days leading up to his death, Mr Harmon documented his fight to stay alive, posting pictures of himself in his hospital bed.

"Please pray y'all, they really want to intubate me and put me on a ventilator," he said.
In his final tweet on Wednesday, Mr Harmon said he had decided to go under intubation.
"Don't know when I'll wake up, please pray," he wrote.
Despite his struggle with the virus, Mr Harmon still said he would reject being jabbed, saying his religious faith would protect him.

I don’t know why you think that’s pertinent to me. I’m already half vaccinated with Pfizer. Soon will be fully vaccinated.

I have no issues with the vaccines and I’m not buying into the conspiracies. I am however questioning and a natural skeptic. I think it is a good thing. Proper information.

No doubt in my mind that the vaccines have some benefit in that they will reduce symptoms and death. And help us to get to some normality but life has changed forever.

The vaccines will not however help me or anyone from getting Covid or eliminate death. So the worst thing anyone can do is think the vaccine will stop Covid because it won’t. We still need to live hygienic lifestyles and mask up where necessary and just be a bit street smart.

This Covid has taken a heavy toll on everyone. Lock downs have taken a toll as well and had a death count to it from suicide.

Businesses are going down and people are losing their livelihoods and mental health.

So my general disposition can only be one of support to the vaccination process. I hope it is the solution, but realistically it isn’t but will improve survive-ability.

The question now is how much Covid and death are we willing to accept.

You have 2 extremes to this argument. If you ask the Australian authorities, they have not come to the point of accepting any death and have still maintained their policy of eradication.

Soon however, such a policy might not be possible or viable.

Other countries however have accepted a more subtle approach away from lock downs because they simply just maintain the same approach as Australia - the cost is simply just too high economically and will lead to State bankruptcy in the longer term. And not to mention community bankruptcies and poverty for the community. So they have come to the morbid conclusion of living with Covid in a post vaccine era where the severe symptoms are avoided and where death is reduced somewhat. But they have accepted it.

Australia is now having this discussion. We will now at some point have to vaccinate our population then let it all rip with a UK style “freedom day”. Yes it will cost some lives. Hopefully not many. But acceptance is where we finally live with reality.

The question now is, how many deaths are we willing to live with and accept.

So as we can all accept, vaccinations are important in getting to this point and saving some lives.

What I think is going to happen is that Australia will adhere to zero Covid and zero death to the end of the year.

They are among for 70 to 80% vaccination acceptance.

Then it will be a case of “letting it rip”

And acceptance of whatever transmission and death follows from then on. Hoping of course there won’t be too many who die.

Tight border controls will persist though for the next couple of years. Maybe more.

Well, the younger generation will let it rip believing foolishly that they are immune from Covid. Middle to older generations will play it very safe still and not indulge in reckless behaviour. Considering the fact the latter generations are the ones with most of the money and if they are not going to become reckless just like the younger generations, the economy is going to take a hit either way, “freedom day” or not.
