Foxconn or whoever they are are making Apple Products under licence as Apple's manufacturer.

This is the kind of stuff Trumop was trying to put an end to in order to get the American people back to work, manufacturing American Products.

Apple is still an American Product with American Tech from Silicone Valley, and have some of the highest standards in the world. They are regarded as the best till this day, and the most popular, with some heavy competition from Samsung who also have great products.

Apple is like the Rolls Royce of smart phone and tablet technology and their computers are pretty good too, although I have windows as my daily driver which I prefer over IOS because it's more versatile. No one can go past Apple Smart Phones and Tablets though.

If I ever leave Apple, it can only be for something else that is just as nice and the only one that comes close is Samsung.

yes assembled in Chy-na.

Like Mercedes is assembled in Turkeys! I'll still buy a Mercedes though. Good German Engineering.

My wife is nagging me to buy one. But we have to wait a while because it's pointless if I am going to America in a few months time.

I know pretty much all draftsmen and architects prefer Apple Computers though. Same with photographers and artists.

They explained to me why. Apple computers are in a league of their own when it comes to graphics and fast rendering.

So that's saying something about Apple.

Wrong again Paphitis… since 2005 Apple abandoned its unique processors/architecture and moved to IBM processors/architecture…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple%27s ... processors

Only Intel and AMD make desktop processors these days, therefore what you get under the hood of an Apple now is a ridiculously overpriced IBM compatible computer!

But for the same money spent on an Apple, one can always build a faster/better custom PC with far less money.

But don't tell those "experts" in case they get upset... :)

Here's something neat you can do with an Apple thanks to its IBM architecture, your friends probably don't know...

people are getting Apple for the unique IOS.

No one gives a shit who makes the chips. What matters is the US propriety and the IOS echo system.

You may think they are over priced, but Samsung has similar pricing and offer similar quality. So they are competitive for what they offer.

Just like when you buy a Mercedes or BMW, you expect to pay a little more.

The performance is not necessarily better Paphtis… which is what you bragged about!

One will always be able to build a desktop computer that is faster and better than any off-the-shelf Apple PC you may care to point to, for far less money and that’s a fact.

Apple is NOT a "Mercedes" so get that out of your head. The "Mercedes" is the custom PC.

I'm aware of building computers Get Real, but you still got to get your components from somewhere.

And you can get anything from cheap components to the most expensive Rolls Royce.

If you want Apple though because you like that echo system, and there are a lot of people who do, then you buy off the shelf and the product is fabulous.

If you want a Tablet or Smart Phone, then Samsung and Apple have that market cornered. there are others that are good as well, like Sony and a few others, but Apple and Samsung are the big movers here.

I suggest you go and work out how much 'Australia' sells to china and how much it buys from china. Boycotts, tariffs , restrictions on either and at either end or both and the numbers go down. A child can tell you that.
