RW,

Turkish Cypriots choose Taksim, or some botched form of apartheid guaranteed by Turkey.

They are anti Cyprus sovereignty and independence.

Has their politics or political leadership or negotiating position to "solve" the problem ever demonstrated otherwise?

According to MR-NG, GC's are all c**ts. That is probably a common belief among his community.

Why is it that they hate the GC's so much?

'Greek Cyprus. South Cyprus?'

No...
Cypriot Cyprus.

Hell yeah,.
God bless the Republic of Cyprus, we're still here and still getting stronger.
1960 and still counting the seconds.....

Unprecedented how much has been achieved under the Cypriot flag by such a small country.

Max, your dogmatic repetition of the "Greek" point of view is a surprise to me.

I expected a direct answer to my question, from you. Does this mean that if the opportunity presented itself to stand under the Flag of Cyprus in the occupied territories, you would not take it?

...if it were true, what you say, the occupied territories would have been "Turkified" long ago; they are not. You forget that Akinci was elected against Eroglu; that a majority of electors chose Cypriot unity over "Turkishness", then.

In fact, they have been divided themselves, as we have been divided; those "Turkish", the "others". Despite all efforts at usurping their identity, they persist because they have one.

What makes you think that those voters do not need your help as Cypriots, now?

...and let's be serious. What about the "Greeks"?

Can you say that their motives revolve around a Cypriot People?

...in that regard, they are no different to "Turks".

As a Greek, to be more accurate, as a Greek Cypriot, it seems clear to me; the enemy is "them".

Their may be a Greek Constituency, an equal in an array of Cypriot Constituencies in the future, but i would not hazard a guess at its name.

...yes Cap, I agree, none an equal to the Republic itself.

Its my point of view, not a "Greek" point of view even if some Greeks have the same point of view.

I support the republic of Cyprus.

The occupied areas are Turkified, and Akinci is no different from his predecessors.

I think he is the biggest deceiver of them all though, because he "is a nice guy", so I hear but his demands are the same as Eroglu's.

Maybe worse, he has given nearly half of Cyprus EEZ to Turkey, while he claims the rest for the "TRNC", but the ridiculous thing is, Turkey isnt searching in the "TRNC's" EEZ for the TC's share of the gas, they are searching in what they claim is theirs....Akinci is an over rated plonker, that wants to keep what Turkey stole and share the rest equally. :?

The problem is insurmountable with such interlocutors. History shows it.

...and yet i have to ask again, if it came to it, a Flag of Cyprus flying in the occupied territories for Cypriots to rally around, would you join this crowd?

I am not sure what you mean to be fair.

But, you would probably get shot at RW, or arrested by the pseudo authorities and have your balls electrocuted.

That is my point.

look what happened to that couple that did that, Sener levant, et el.....

The north is illegally occupied / Turkified.

By and large, the north doesnt recognize the Republic of Cyprus unless there are "rights" or "shares" to extort from the GC's.

Indeed, the question is simple.

(Despite the risk of what fanatics might do), would you join in a public rally to stand under the Flag of Cyprus in the occupied territories, demonstrating your solidarity as a Cypriot?

...if Akinci was willing to stand under the Flag of Cyprus, would you join him?

And who are these people you talk about, how are they different to you: are they not Cypriots; not "Turkish", not "Greek"?

...they are my heroes; you?
