What did they come to protest about?

Why did they all go to listen to Trump first and then march to the Capital building?

Were they not invited by Trump to show up on that date? Why?

The main event of the day at the Capital building was to count the Electoral votes. Why would that trigger a “peaceful protest” of people coming from all over the country?

Why all the anger by the crown as they invaded the building for a simple Electoral votes?

The couple of minutes of the video I watched, I saw a lot of brain dead Trump supporters, just repeating the same crap Trump and his enablers of the election being stolen from him.

The purpose for them to be there in the first place was to protest. They went there to protest, that much is clear.

I dont see no insurrection or general incitement to commit violence from these people. it was just a small number of people in the crowd that took it to the extreme. Those people should be brought to book.

I also listened to trumps speech and no-where did I get the impression that he incited these people to violence. Can you quote the part of what he said where he is inciting these people to commit violence?

Someone else was doing the same street interviews and he was trying to manipulate people to get them to say things that would fit the narrative that he wanted to present.

He was trying to present them as a violent mob with weapons going to commit an insurrection. He wasnt having much luck.

That’s the answer, except they were not alleging anything. They were stating that the election was stolen from them made by Trump for two months. So they came to stop the counting of the Electoral vote , the one last chance for Trump to stay in power. Yes, not all the people go into the Capitol building and for those who did not were not accused of anything unless they violated the 6pm curfew. Trump sent them to the Capitol building to take back the government and that’s what they tried to do leaving 5 people dead, and when such attempt is made by force, it is an insurrection.

There's no single reason that fits all... and it's foolish to assume so.

Some went there to protest, some out of curiosity, some for fun, and some for sinister reasons.

The last are the ones the authorities are mostly interested in.
