There is no way the Republican Party can win without Trump, says Sen. Lindsey Graham

GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham says the GOP has no political future without Donald Trump.

He told the Washington Post that there is "no construct" where the party can be successful without Trump.

A battle is being fought in the GOP between Trump loyalists and those who want to reject him.

See more stories on Insider's business page.

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said that the Republican Party cannot be successful without the backing of former President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Look, the writing is on the wall Kikapu.

It looks like Trump is fair dinkum in charge of the GOP and the Republicans can sniff a sure thing in 2024 considering the fact that Biden is struggling to put a sentence together let alone be a good POTUS.

The way you guys are going, trump should win in a landslide.

Really? :D

So how come Trump lost 2020 by a landslide and 7 million votes?

Oh, the GOP also lost the Senate.

Not bad for old Biden kicking Trump’s butt, senile and all.

Because you muppets were telling incessant lies for 4 years. And many people believed them.

But now, the proof has to be in the pudding.

And Biden needs to shoot some goals. Right now, he appears to be in sharp cognitive decline. Not someone who is actually even fit to hold office as POTUS.

The people will now see the truth. And I'm afraid that you have breathed new life into trump and the way things are, he is poised for a comeback.

Well, as always, there’s no point talking about an election which is over 3 years away as to who will win. Both Biden and Trump might not even be alive by then.

Very true as I don’t want to be talking about an election 3 years away.

But Trump is as fit as a fiddle. Can’t say the same about Biden.

Former and also current US Military Leaders are losing confidence in Biden. 124 of the top US Military leaders have written to the WH and Congress to express their concern with Biden's health issues saying that Biden has to to be fit enough to make snap decisions that involve the health and limb of US Service Personnel around the world.

Doesn't seem to be what the top brass of the US Military believe - both former and current.

They believe Biden is definitely a risk to US Security, the military and to the US - due to his declining cognitive abilities of course, not because of any politics.

No one ever said anything like this about Trump. In fact they never said anything like this about any US POUTOS, That makes Biden the worst Pouttos for sure...

"sky", of course they would have such news for a consumer of this kind of diddly poop.

...seriously, do you think "top Generals" would be betraying their country with "news" like this, about their Commander in Chief?

...i don't like "sky", like i don't like FoxNews: hate filled satire in affect.

As entertainment it does not fulfill my interests any longer. No longer newscasters, having forfeited this identity defending themselves', i dislike them even more.

Top Generals still in service won't get political or dare say such a thing. But they would think it. And of course as humans have their own opinions and political views.

These were 124 retired US Generals and Admirals who are able to speak and write such letters. nd their reasoning and concerns are EXTREMELY valid.

Biden is now a security risk to US interests and also to Global Security, Peace and Stability.

I also believe that it is likely, or possible, that the Israelis and Palestinians have seen an opportunity to start their own shenanigans again. The power vacuum from a seemingly incoherent POTUS, will hurt America, and hurt peace and stability around the world.

No. They are actually serious media.

Sky News Australia and FOX News of course have their bias, but they are upfront. They certainly are not satire. They make some excellent reports.

Sky news UK, which is the same company as the Australian version, is different to Cky News Australia and FOX News.

Sky News Australia and FOX News are outward GOP supporting.

Sky News UK are left wing, and closer to The Guardian. WHY?

Because Rupert Murdoch is a businessman and clever.

He has media to cater for different sectors of the market place. They say he is being political. No, it;s got to do with advertising and the advertising dollar, his ratings that drive the prices and his market share.

People are a commodity to him, he doesn't care if they are of one persuasion or the other.

Capitalism 101 boys and girls.

My wife worked for the media empire for 11 years, and we have both met the Murdocks too. Adelaide is his home town.

but back to Biden. I am very worried. I actually share the very same concerns. It is obvious to me that with Biden and his current state of mental well being, and politics completely to one side as its irrelevant, Biden does pose a risk to US interests, and the interests of its allies, such as NATO, and Australia, and a very big risk to geo strategic interests in the Middle East, South China Sea and also poses a risk to the US Military and its partners and also a risk to global security.

I believe this to be true 100%

You may think it's because I don't like him. But that's not true. POTUS has a job to do, and the President must be fit to that this important job or else we are all at risk.

All of you will regret the growing influence of China.

This is a country that has zero respect fir its neighbours. It’s a bigger and more potent version of the Turkish Caliphate to put things into perspective. Far more dangerous and a threat as it will start something one day with Taiwan. A situation that can’t be ignored.

And what it is doing in the South China Sea is far more potent than what Turkey is doing to Greece in the Aegean with its daily incursions. China is literally claiming and building bases on islands and Atolls which do not belong to her and then claiming an EEZ.

We can’t afford America to be sleeping at the wheel. It WILL cause a war which will claim the lives of hundreds of thousands of people if not millions.

Whether I or anyone supports Biden is besides the point. Biden MUST be in tip top condition. He must be fit to execute his important job for the sake of all of us. If he is not then it’s only natural we feel concerned about it.

I can only wish that Biden is fit to do the job. Unfortunately it appears as though that’s not the case. But I wish it was the case. He needs to succeed on an international stage otherwise a terrible power vaccuum will ensue and that’s going to be dangerous.

Just last week China cancelled a treaty between China and Australia.

Proving that it’s agreements are not worth the paper they are written on.

That was in response to Australia making laws that forbid China from investing into Australian sovereign state interests. For Australians, we are not even allowed to buy property there.

So now, there is no communication between the 2 countries at a ministerial or government level.

China is very dangerous.

We are talking about Turkey taking responsibility for genocides committed more than a 100 years ago under the Ottoman Empire. No argument here from me. The Armenian Genocide must be recognized. But it’s still history as much as the Holocaust against the Jews is now history.

But China is committing genocide TODAY against Turkic People in China, everyone is turning a blind eye to this crime, that is completely sad and deplorable. The sanctity of life must be respected.

And I'm not racist towards the Chinese. as a people, I do like them. Very nice people. Very cultural and I love Chinese food. We have got to know the Chinese people and there is plenty to like about them. it's just the growing influence of china and its outward behaviour that is a concern.
