Absolutely Kiks. I have no fear when my doorbell rings. I put my head on the pillow and I don't get cold sweats thinking where I'm going to find the money to pay my loans. Best way in my opinion.

Neither do we.

We have no fear and we sleep very easy. And we can do our own thing and make money that way.

When it’s pay day, it is pay day. :D

And a pay day that would otherwise not come.

Just today, I kicked a contractor offsite who was to do an install at a site. Job was worth 22K. Deposit was 7.5K with 14.5K owing. The installer told me he had to install on facials rather than the offset. I said no. You are not fit for purpose and that will look terrible. So I told him to go and we will negotiate a solution tomorrow. Either we will or won’t. I could even here from their lawyers or a debt collector. But I don’t give a stuff. If he fights me, he won’t ever come on our sites again. Potentially, I could lose 7.5k

What I’m expecting though is for their rep to contact me tomorrow and do a measure and quote for plantation shutters. And for him to take the hit. See what happens.

If you had money you wouldn't have to borrow.

I'm just a poor guy but have no debts so the 148 pounds I receive as pension sees me till the next pay day. As you claim to be a millionaire may I suggest you change your accountant. Philip Green is about to do so :D

A bank wouldn’t give me money without the servicing and security.

It’s not true that borrowers don’t have money. It’s liquidity that can be lacking in between certain cycles.

Our debts are backed up and fully secured and when we need to conduct our business, sometimes we need to borrow otherwise we grind to a halt.

Our bent is nothing but a balance sheet entry against our assets. And we can borrow cheaply too because costs are deducted. And it’s never been a better time to borrow more. I’ve never seen it so cheap.

My Koumbaro has a Ferrari. He is a bit of a play boy but he is wealthy too. His brother is well off but more grounded.

Only difference if my Koumbaro has never been in a position to need money from friends.

But we are regularly in a position to use our lines for materials and pay people. That’s what it’s there for. Our biggest problem is cashflow. It comes in spurts. We spend for months and after a year or many months at lest we get a pay day which goes back on our lines and then it’s at least many months, and sometimes over a year for the next influx. And so on and so on. He doesn’t even have a salary unless he decides to pay himself one which he is entitled to do. And again it could be from borrowings. That’s the nature of the beast.

He is still in a position to play though. He literally has a car collection. His brother is more down to earth. Same with me. He too is a partner. The 3 stooges. Plus Koumbaro’s son.

Good luck to you mate. I wasn't always good with money and in fact I'm ashamed to admit it now but between 1986 and 2006 I must have done a good 250k up my nose and a good 100k on champagne. Add to that my stupid gambling habits you're looking at a good 750k+ down the drain. I was such a cu*t back in them days. Hold on, I just remembered, add another 250k on flash cars you're looking at a cool fucking million. What an idiot I was :( :( :(

I haven't always been that good either. I'm not saying i am good.

Plus, I have made some whoppers (mistakes) in the past. It happens. Lost a lot. Had to go legal because I got done. Then up for quite eye watering legal costs on top. Recovered most of it though but am still down.

My Koumbaro finished school at year 10. His brother actually finished high school. In fact he is the business brain by far. Very poised and businesslike, and a qualified builder like my Koumbaro. I'm only licensed for up to 25K. So they are both the project leads.

It isn't really rocket science either. Only thing I brag about is our creativity. That is what I like about it. It's fun.

As fir debts, we are not afraid of it.

The other day, I went to the Bank manager to have a whinge about interest rate creep. threatened with refinance. So sat down and had a chat. He submitted a price review and gave me 25 points discount. I said that is pathetic. So he tried to upsell me. I said, I'm willing to talk. Asked him for more money, he rubbed his hands together and we are submitting documents now. Thank you Mr Bank manager. :D

I also did about 100k on the share market in 2008. I had just got married too so was entering a new phase in my life. At that time my wife was asking what the hell she got herself into when I told her.

Most of the losses were on a mining start up and a bio med company. Both were penny stocks. At one point I was about 500% up. Shares bought at 25 cents. Went up to $1.25 and then down to 5 cents overnight.

Oh and before I got married, I thought I was a smart ass with a gambling habit too. I use to read books about it. Card counting and doubling bets after losing hands. Remember in one night, I was up about 10k.

Went back the next day and done about 20k.

Never went back again.
