Get Real! wrote:A typical headline today, reads...

“King Charles vows to serve his nation as Britain mourns late queen”

And I can’t help but wonder in what way this self-righteous, sanctimonious, and unelected selfish family; which is drowning in wealth while much of Britain lives in substandard conditions, serves its country!

How much does it cost to feed them, guard them, and indulge them in their stupid Middle Ages ceremonies all year round and every year?

I must admit I’ve never been a fan of “kings”, “queens” and similar self-aggrandizements, and not to mention that the year is 2022... not 1647!

This ugly clown would be wise to dismantle all this crap and admit that he and his boring family are not only a square peg in a round hole these days, but a fucking waste of time and money!

If anything, his mother’s passing is an opportunity to put an end to this embarrassing and seemingly never-ending British tragedy!

Royalty my arse!

Indeed, I agree with everything you said and will add a little more to it.
1. She is paid 83 million pounds a year- not tax deducted. Even a pensioner who gets paid more than 12,500 a year is taxed.
2. She has personal wealth of over 500 million stashed up somewhere or other.
3. The crown has properties of over a billion for which there is no tax paid.
4. It did not take long for the politicians to put Charlie boy in his place. He is not elected so he is above politics. In other words even if his subjects are starving or dropping dead from the cold, he is not allowed to say anything as he is not elected.

if that is the case, it is time we had an elected president and an elected upper chamber as well as a written constitution.

Charles’ “mourning” must be the shortest on record... hardly a day went by and he’s already all smiles and enjoying the aggrandizement! :?

It goes to show what a shallow hypocritical family this is… essentially a waiting game for the top dog to croak so that you may jump onto the throne!

Of all the sports in the country, only football has been stopped today. I guess the establishment is a little worried what the fans may chant about King Charlie and his Camila.

Not so worried about the clubs and the plays, they are all doing very well out of it but what about those at the bottom who dipendent on some aspect or other in football to earn a few quid?
What will they do today?
Indeed this may well be their whole week's earning.

Very interesting clip. UN soldiers used to thrown chocolates to us in Cyprus as they passed by in their landrover in a similar way.

What a great world we live in.

We have energy crisis where the sanctions have spooked the market and despite the fact that we only get 15% of our gas from Russia, we are paying the full price for the gas we are getting from Norway and our own North Sea and we are still being charged the full wack. Add to that any green energy produced here which is much cheaper, its price is pushed up to mach the gas/oil price despite the fact that we pay green energy tax to help these organisations set up.

And now we have our own lovely PM going on a walk about with King Charlie till they bury the old bird. So cost of living crisis can wait, we still have no real details what the plans are. Add to that they are going to borrow in the market and make our children pay for the excess profits the energy companies are making and we are supposed to see that as a favour?
Worse still the £2500 supposed cap is no cap at all. It is a cap on price per unit applied on average use of a house, 1,200 KWh for electicity and 12000 KWh for gas per year. Heaven knows how many people will be far above this and add to that the shops and factories. You can see we are heading toward shit and double shit.

"We"? :?

You live in it but you're not of it. ***Reminder warning*** You're a Turkish Cypriot. Talking about a foreign country, as though you were a native. A fantasy.

We can all pontificate of course (and we do!) but although it seems you've spent your life doing very nicely out of living in Swineland, politically its actually got SFA to do with you. Anymore that my living here gives me the right to rant about Cypriot politics. Which, as a (tax paying) guest would be very rude IMHO. Not to mention, I actually think it's a great place and could never post the sort of miserable, humourless stuff you come up with daily about the UK. I mean, do you have a good word to say about absolutely anything FFS? :?

Be happy. Pack your bags and take your considerable real-estate wealth back home. Trust me, you wouldn't miss out. There's so much political stuff there that you could rant about. Lots of folk you would want to give a fair trial and then execute. You could even take English lessons.

Today we found out why the FA decided to stop the games. They felt it woud be wrong during this time for the fans to celebrate a goal or a win.
Can you believe they have banned happiness. We must mourn whether we like it or not..

As to my reference of "we," I have paid taxes in this country for 48 fuckin years. Where I was born has nothing to do with it. How long have you paid taxes in Cyprus? I hope the property you own is not an old TC property old man.

If you wish to post something good that is happening in this country, nobody is stopping you. I am sure you can find one.

I will post one now.

And another good post.

Wow - back of the net!

I would ask, what do you know about "happiness"? Your posts are relentlessly depressive tomes.

I don't GAF about how long you've paid taxes in the UK. Although, actually it's not that different from me - and, I have a few other claims to support any related opinions about the place. Starting perhaps with being born there.

Here, a mere 10 years, which, as I said (and to me it wouldn't matter if it was 50 years) wouldn't entitle me to post the sort of vomit you do about the country which has hosted you for half a century. Swineland. I suspect I may have actually lived here longer than some of the diaspora that regularly post. Who knows. Perhaps you!

No, not an ex-TC property. Something a bit newer.

I'm sure I've said it before but......................... IMHO you will die a very old and disappointed man because the Kafkian nightmare country you seem to lust for (like GR's Armageddon fantasy) will never come about in the UK. You clearly have absolutely no idea, outside of your Corbynista dream world, of the people there.

Well I was also born into a British Empire territory. I did not invote the Brits to Cyprus. I was not asked if I objected either.
I was not hosted here, I fucking kept it afloat with taxes. Somebody had to pay you while you were playing war games and fuckin kill people.
Your property may be new built but on who's land is it built on is the question?

What womit? I am simply posting things that take place in the country. What can I do about that?

Well, as much as I suppose I should be totally ashamed of anything absolutely anybody regards as being bad about the UK over the past thousand years it's been a dismal failure. Nothing to do with me. Most of my family were scratching a living sorta thing. Anymore than you were responsible for the genocide of a million plus Armenians. I could bore you with tales of the poverty but when it comes to that sort of thing you couldn't really GAF I'm sure.

If you resent "keeping it afloat" you would surely be better off going home and helping out there? :?

What do you know about my "playing war games and fuckin kill (sic) people". I mean - really - so many in here, who can't seem to put together reasoned arguments in a thread, when they're confronted with valid questions about what's going on and what's being said in here (usually without comment) resort to that sort of shite. So - do tell. What exactly do you - think - you know?

No use prattling on about my living off the TC evacuation. It was all a wilderness around here. Worth a plug though I suppose. Yet another thing you actually haven't got a "fuckin" clue about.
