The US, UK and Australia are announcing a new trilateral security arrangement and at the same time announce the next generation of Australian nuclear powered. submarines in order to address new regional strategic challenges and concerns.

And we were testing nuclear weapons in the 50s when at the time there were plans to have nuclear weapons prior to signing the non proliferation treaty.
