https://hir.harvard.edu/washington-must ... anglehold/

In October, as international commentary on the Russia-Ukraine War largely framed the conflict as a single-theater proxy war between the West and Russian imperial ambition, the naval arena of conflict quietly spilled into a new region. Following Ukrainian naval gains, Russia announced its plans to establish a new permanent naval base in Ochamchire, Abkhazia, a territory along the Black Sea comprising much of Georgia’s northwestern land. Although the Russian military has long occupied and based troops in Abkhazia, never has it so directly implicated Georgia and its occupied territories in the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

...as it happens, the "special operation" in Ukraine has as a consequence, more Imperialism.

"Russia shoots down Ukranian An 225 transporting arms near Zaporizhzhya. Ukranians claim there were 65 Russian POWs on board in the process of being exchanged."

Discuss...................................

You can just imagine.

Now - we just need some coffins for "evidence".

Yes ….. that 'what if' scenario I could imagine because you can never believe what the Ukrainians say and your example demonstrates why they are found out so rapidly!

Zaporizhzhya is in an active war zone ……….. Belgorod isn’t. Belgorod is close to the border between Ukraine and Russia ……. Zaporizhzhya isn’t. POW exchanges have taken place at this border point previously without problems!

The pictures/video of the explosion shows a Jet Fuel (Kerosene) fire, orange at the base and then a deep red (oxygen deficient) flame and black smoke billowing rather slowly upward. Whereas an eruption of explosives would show a white/yellow bright flame at the base and a rapid eruption and expansion of a yellow flame and far less smoke. (Look at the eruptions of Zionist high explosives on GAZA and you will see the difference!)

So first ........ you need to look at the evidence, not watch reports (Propaganda) from Kyiv!

My guess is that this will turn out to be a tragic accident initiated by ‘trigger happy’ Ukraine missile/radar crews.

I’m glad you said “guess”.

If you’re 2 years into a war, where logistics are a vital factor, which has degenerated to the point of becoming a trench warfare slogging match, and you’re (supposedly) in the process of building up your Forces for a big offensive, you’re not going to waste an asset like an Il76 to transport a group of rag-tag POWs.

So, my guess :D is that it’s (entirely predictable and classic disinformation) BS. Which is exactly what you’d be saying if the shoe were on the other foot. In spades.

Which reports? It's a matter of commonsense. Moreover, aren't you "watching reports" from Moscow? And, I'm prompted to remember your detailed missile video analysis - offered as conclusive proof - of how the Iranians didn't shoot down a civilian aircraft taking off from Teheran airport in 2020. Let's not get back into the WTC affair, but your proof, from a keyboard in sunny Cyprus, has sometimes turned out to be anything but.

There’s no guess if one is objective.

You as an ex military man, should have know that a large military aircraft capable of carrying large supply of weapons of all sorts would have created multiple explosions and sounds upon hitting the ground along with the singular aircraft fuel explosion, sound and a ball of fire.

Where are the rest of the explosions and sounds from the explosives you suspect of being on the plane instead of Ukrainian POWs?

Then again, perhaps you have never seen any action and neither have I, but common sense should tell you how things would be if you were an objective observer when it comes to Russia.

...did the Ukrainians know the flight was carrying their Citizens; this remains unclear.

I am surprised, what with the complex nature of prisoner exchange, that their transport would not be as detailed and transparent to both sides.

...and where are the bodies, a manifest exists; this too remains unclear.

Surely there are family members who would like whatever parts they find of their loved ones returned to them.
