Russia's hypocrisy.

The UN are shortly to publish its report into the Chinese Uyghurs, who's long term suffering has been classed as genocide.

Over a million have been herded into camps where as well as Internment/murder, they face forced abortion, forced sterilization, forced birth control, forced labour, torture, brainwashing, alleged rape (including gang rape) and other dehumanising violence and repression.

Yet, Russia totally ignores this and instead courts and kow-tows to the CCP. In exchange for de-facto approval but obtaining in return just a Chinese declaration of its neutrality on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Both of course tragedies but WTF are they to do with Russia slaughtering the population of a neighbouring country and obliterating its cities? :?

It's ok, when the war is over and the criminal is bought to justice, the American people will send some US AID.

Are you still struggling with the question? USA or Russia? Geez, I just asked my 11 year olds and they got the answer right.

"Invasion not 'as fast as we would like' admits Putin ally

The head of Russia's National Guard has said that Moscow's military operation in Ukraine is not going as quickly as the Kremlin had wanted, in the strongest public acknowledgement yet that the invasion is not going to plan................................"

Scoff as some might. This was originally perceived as being a walk in the park affair. The government captured in the first few days and the people (particularly Russian speakers) acknowledging, with grateful relief, Russian occupation.

That ain't what's happened though. Whilst I personally still believe the game's up, it looks like a long, bitter and devastating finale is in the making. Afterwards, it seems clear that the return to "normality" is pie in the sky bollocks. Occupying a belligerent country the physical and population size of Ukraine will prove a mammoth and perpetual task.

It has all the makings of another Afghanistan for the Russians.

Where's that foolish DT again?

As to Western sanctions against Russia, I think there’s a very simple answer to that: last week 1000 cubic metres of gas cost $1,000; today it’s over twice that. Next week it certainly won’t be cheaper. Ditto for aluminum, potash, titanium, wheat. Russian airlines lease their planes; now what? Russian rocket motors. What the people in the West do not understand is the ruble is the currency the Russians use inside the country but the price of oil and gas is the Russian currency outside the country. I am astounded at the stupidity: they’re cutting their own throats and destroying their own economies.

Russia sits back and laughs: fly into space on your own broomstick.

Personally I’m buying Venezuelan paper at 5 cents right now. US in talks with them to restart supply. Reserves of the US and Saudi production will make short work of this. Russia just excluded itself from the market. One thing you forget is that the prices will soon stabilize with supply. Russia still won’t be able to sell their shit.

Russia rocket motors    built with what? Timber?

The price of crude dropped 6% today.

Demand is dropping. Certainly in China, where they are having a lot of economic problems related to real estate and Covid.

UAE is increasing production and Saudi is expected to follow.

After Biden was woken up from his afternoon nap and signed something or other, given current prices US shale is looking at a boom again.

Expect an incoming one-liner put down. Devoid of any facts but really, really funny.
