You don’t seem to understand L (aka, get it).

At the proverbial drop of a hat any chosen group of Russian speakers, in any country of choice, could suddenly find themselves under attack and in need of “saving”. It’s been a Warmonger’s excuse for invasion and mainstay of choice for centuries. Works every time. It even has people with a social conscience rushing to support what should, by any application of logic, be their version of a hellish nemesis. Here Vladimir Putin.

Presently, he seems, among other charming tactics, to have adopted blocking the shipment of grain from Ukraine. Not to mention the apparent widespread destruction of related infrastructure. The result of which will be that millions of the poverty-stricken people you often express angst and anger about are likely to starve. An effective tool - as ole Joe and his Holodomor demonstrated. I’m sure though that the usual morons will be falling over themselves to point out it wasn’t his fault. He had no choice. Just like the butchering of tens of thousands of Ukrainians. An unfortunate but necessary “statistic”. :(

You are not grasping the situation. If a group of people are told they are no longer allowed to speak their language or that their language is not taught at schools you can guarantee it will lead to violence. And that's where Russia comes in. Language and culture may not be a big thing to you but it is to a lot of other people.

He’s trying to convince you that the West’s 40-odd countries going out of their way to starve Russia’s 146 million citizens in every way imaginable is an honorable thing to do, while Russia preventing Ukrainian produce from shipping via the Black sea is a horrible crime against humanity!

What’s the matter with you Lordo, did you fail your Western Hypocrisy 101 course?

Boris is about to cancel all your benefits because you’re not toeing the line boy! :)

While I do appreciate the humor, I must confess that I’m a fan of American junk food so if I lived in Russia I’d consider that the only loss!

...fascinating, this information age; it is what it is: vlog, blog, channel, or just another app on the telephone.

More and more Ukrainian battalions are deserting their positions and abandoning the fight due to a variety of gripes as stated in their videos…

I’ve come across about two dozen videos like these!

NB: Those who want the truth watch genuine videos as uploaded by soldiers and civilians from the front-lines on Telegram, while those who prefer fantasy go to YouTube! :)

...well, i thank you for your effort GR: quite frankly even if i wanted to find the stuff you find i don't know how; so it's a big help to people in the same position.

I won't say what these soldiers want, if it is not to fight, it is not because they are ordered to commit Crimes of War.

...people wear little ribbons on their back, no ribbon invites being shot at by someone.

Indeed, in this war like in the war that tore Cypriots apart. "Being" Ukrainian like "being" Russian, is not enough for "Ukrainians" and "Russians".

If what you say is true - and I say “if” because I’ve learned over a considerable period of time that you have a tendency to “skim” over subjects and are inconsistent - it hardly provides causus belli for another nation to invade and kill hundreds of thousands of the population (not to mention obliterate their cities and towns) in a supposed effort to “liberate”.

You avoid the critical point that such situations are easily manipulated in people’s minds to foment popular support for war and that it’s been a method exploited by tyrants throughout history.

Whilst you might legislate within the likes of an education system it’s clearly impossible to stop people from talking to each other in their traditional language. Or, whichever one they choose to.

Apart from your latest hissy fit, that, preceded by an extensive period of “Your dead mother was a whore” intellectual type stuff, you’ve been posting relentlessly on this war for 90 days now. I’d be surprised if you haven’t hit 1000 or thereabouts. Throughout, you’ve never contributed anything but good news about the Russian army’s outstanding performance. Plus of course how the country’s economy is booming as a result of it’s isolation, caused by the departure of some 1000 western companies and the sanctions regime being imposed. Not forgetting copious stuff about how the much hated west is doomed because of it all.

If you truly believe that’s the case I have to say I admire your Jesuit-like devotion, but sadly have to qualify it by saying that IMHO, not only are you clearly psychotic but also it seems a naive idiot.

Like I said you are not grasping the situation. Turkey banned Kurdish Language till there were tens of thousands of people killed from the Kurdish people and the Turkish authorities. Clearly there were other issues involved but it was the main driver. What does it mean when a Kurdish man ends up in court but he cannot be asked question in Kurdish even if he can only speak Kurdish. You don't seem to understand the fact that it is done to destroy a culture and either assimilate or be driven from you homeland. It is an extremely serious act and being done in the middle of EU. And it is allowed.
For instance Orams as much as I disagreed about them buying a GC property in the north, despite Turkish Language being officially recognised in Cyprus, their submissions were thrown out of court because it was not in GC.

If the Latvians banned Russian then they will deserve everything they get. It will not happen overnight. First fighting will start within and it will grow till Russia will feel obliged to interfere and the Yanks will just watch. They are the most gutless people there is on earth.

As to inconsistencies far from it. I support all people who are struggling for their rights. From TCs to the Kurds to the Uygurs to the Russian Ukranians all the way to the Latvian Russians.

As old Wolfie used to say "Power to the people". Nobody has the right to press another, no ifs no buts. You can have all the ifs you like. It makes no difference to me.
