Nobody’s “taken on Russia”. They’ve invaded a neighbouring country, causing death and destruction on a (you’ll like this) biblical scale. Not to mention fucking things up for us all in the process. That, on the back of one man’s megalomania. A vision of himself as another Peter the Great. And another’s senility - perhaps. :?

With the greatest respect for anybody’s religious views - your’s being somewhat at the extremities of course - I think, like a person’s sexual preferences, they’re probably best kept to themselves. I have more optimistic hopes for mankind’s future than some radioactive Armageddon. Despite it sounding the firework display to beat ‘em all and your best efforts to sell me the concept.

How very interesting. There are still people on earth that have not yet realised that Germany attacked Russia twice and Japan once. Not forgetting the fact that the West also supplied weapons and finance to attack the Communist government durinf the first world war as well as the French. I mean why are we splitting hairs here, they count as nobody right?

I mean fuckin hell. I reckon attention span of a fish springs to mind.

It’s interesting that only you and Milti seem to assume that Christianity is only comprised of cute little Jesus stories as taught in primary schools… probably because that’s as far as you’ve ever bothered to read and only because you were obliged to from school. :)

You seemingly have no idea how bloody and violent it all gets in the end... get stuck into Revelation.

I remind that it was the West that started it all... and my money is on Russia finishing it!

I looked in at the forum a few days ago and your name appeared as the last poster in all of the 7 top recent topics. That’s a first in my 6 years here.

You really ought to get out a bit more, or you’ll end up doing religion and frightening the horses as well. 8)

Groundhog Day.

No. They didn’t. Vladimir Putin in fact started it all. On Feb 24th. Best perhaps not to dwell upon his lying about his intentions on several occasions.

I understand why.

With a guy who struggles to read his Teleprompter recently ensconced in the White House. A man who - with one of his signature gems of a speech - said a small Russian incursion in Ukraine would be OK. Then, after the event, talked at length about the things he wouldn’t do about it. Added to an EU which was clearly as united as a cage full of angry monkeys, there would surely never come a better moment?

And here we all are.

NATO’s eastern expansion is the root cause of this, and other soviet block conflicts.

No it’s not. That’s a fabrication. Putin has even “come out” regarding his vision recently. If you bothered to watch the interview.

You’ve seen what’s happened wrt Sweden and Finland’s application. You’ve also seen, and in fact often crowed about, Germany’s life-line industrial dependency on Russian gas. Also, France had - in fact they are trying desperately to hang on to - extensive business interests in Russia. Hungary under Orban remains joined at the hip to Putin.

Try a little objectivity - go on, just the once. Stand back and ask yourself what was going to happen to Ukraine’s application for membership. Not as blunt as Turkey and it’s veto but it was surely destined to spend enough time gathering dust in the in-tray to see both of us pushing up daisies.

You’ve been sold a pup on that.
