Snake Island ilberated by Ukraine!

I wouldn’t call it “liberated” by Ukraine because the place was vacated by Russia for a good reason.

In time, Ukraine will too vacate the island on their own for a good reason.

The island lost it’s importance to Russia because the war is going their way in the Southeast of Ukraine, which means they will start heading towards Odessa soon and then take the remaining coastline on the Black Sea from Ukraine. Once that is completed, Snake Island will be completely cut off from Ukraine, and if there are any Ukrainians on the island, they will vacate it freely. I don’t even think Russians will bother even bombing the place anymore.

Snake Island is dejure Ukrainian Territory. The Russians withdrew because they were taking a pounding. In fact, in their haste to withdraw, they left some equipment on the wharf, without destroying them. A Bayraktar took care of that just in case they would come back and get them.

There is no good reason to evacuate the island as it is important since it secures vital sea lines in and out of Odessa.
