Btw LR did you know that the Ukrainian refugees should need to be 15 million to come close to our 37% of refugees?
Did you know the Russians will never deprive those Ukrainian refugees their right to return to their homes and lands, like we are been deprived by Turkey for almost 50 years?
Did you know all our suffering was caused by 2 Nato countries?
Did you know that nobody in the EU or the UN does not even dare call the Turkish invasion and ongoing occupation as such and they insist of calling it "intervention"?
Did you know the UN refuses to call us refugees, but rather uses the convenient term "displaced persons"?

I absolutely hate the Western hypocrisy and double standards, and yes the Ukrainian issue is just one more example.

And, I don't imagine those 3 million refugees are reassured by the thought that the Russians will - after they've finished flattening their cities and killing thousands - happily let them return.

This is something we cant forget while "but"-ing it away with whatever justification we think Russia had to do it.

At the end of the day, Ukrainians had their democracy, they had their independence.

I don’t believe it matters these days because the UN Charter has been violated by the West repeatedly for the last 3-4 decades against over a dozen sovereign UN-member states, so this renders international law into a repeatedly broken contract in limbo and on life support.

Once a contract has been broken it is broken… and you just can go back and abide by it partially or selectively.

International law has been utterly and repeatedly trashed thanks predominantly to the US, so it’s over.

The truth of the matter is that there is no international law as much as we pretend to have, because law that is not abided by and law that is not enforced, is law that is not recognized and does not exist!

International law only applies for people like GR - and whatshisname - when it suits their agenda. It was certainly invoked repeatedly to justify Russia's actions in Syria. They were invited in by the legitimate government you see. So, that was in accordance with international law. When those laws condemned the invasion of Crimea, China's illegal actions in the South China Sea, North Korea's nuclear program...................... well, then international law is an ass of course.

Oh please stop this tune. Even in courts of law where each case is examined on it's own, the lawyers are allowed to call previous similar or related cases to make their point.

Allow Ukraine to decide.

I know, whats good for Ukraine is bad for Russia but you should consider what happened in Cyprus.

The majority of Cypriots couldnt exercise their democratic right and look what happened.

Ever been involved in one? No, didn't think so. Nobody wants peace more than the soldier. He bears the death, pain and scars. People nowadays who sit comfortably in front of their keyboards and pass judgment on acts going on which are resulting in death and destruction really need to take up gardening or something.

No, Russia wasn't "pushed". It isn't Russia anyway (and that's starting to come out), it's the man who's been a ruthless dictator of that country for 22 years. It's Putin's war. If you've read his "essay" you will know that he dreams of a return to the days when Ukraine (and Lithuania actually) were part of Russia. Then of course there are the other Baltic states and............................

If you dislike all the US lead invasions, then you should equally be disliking the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

There are a lot of similarities with the Cyprob than there are differences so be careful, not to be indirectly supporting Turkeys actions.
