They say it's the Portuguese and then the Cypriots, but I say Bollocks. Must be out of date stats. Cyps are a holy smoke and no mistake.

I think Britain should claim Cyprus for the crown once more, just to ensure that driving tests are properly administered. Then give it back again. Good for the old road death toll.

Actually, why say in the EU? worst drivers this side of New Delhi. Now there's a challenge.

Up against the Afghans and the Uzbeks. Still come out on top no doubt.

You exagerate again. Cypriots are among the worst in EU but not in the world. Take a short trip to Egypt and then you will know what I mean!

I can't believe the leniency of the penalties in Cyprus- In Australia I have a friend who has consecutive driving bans for 19 years

its not about skills of the drivers i believe.
its about the attitude we have when we sit in the car.

Sotos is absolutely right, if you think cypriots are bad you havent seen an Egyptian behind the wheel yet.

Personally I think we need to implement the following:

Hire cars have red number plates to warn other drivers that the people behind the wheel are not locals. So on this concept we should introduce the Green number plate. This is applicable to any person who got their license in Cyprus / out of a cornflake box.

At least this way us drivers who got our licenses from o/seas know to expect the totally unexpected from green drivers.

Just a thought
