Bring back the National Service to the UK. The crime rate would go down....

Lysi sorry to hear you have such a bad opinion of the police, have you had a bad experience with an officer? I disagree totally with your post, i worked along side a lot of honest hard working men and women who put there lives on the line to protect public and property, yes agreed there were a very small minority who had a chip on there shoulder, i once refused to work with a guy who seemed to think he could talk to people as if they had just been rubbed of his shoes, you are wrong about police attitudes but then you have that right, if that is how you feel so be it.

My only experience with the police in the UK was when I had a burglary at my house. The two officers that arrived accused me of insurance fraud (I had a tv, video and cd player stolen). I told them that I work for a bank and wouldnt risk a job worth 17K a year for a few measly hundred quid, but they were absolute B******s ! I complained and got a sort of apology - that 4 out of 10 robberies are done by the people reporting them - SO WHAT!!! I have never trusted them since - no wonder loads of crime goes unreported - its not worth the bloody stress and hassle!!! And yes - I know not all are like that (I hope) but even so............

JUST GOING ON WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON THE STREETS AND I ALSO HAVE POLICEMEN AS FRIENDS AND SOME OF THE STORIES THEY TELL ME WOULD PROBALY SADDEN YOU AS YOU SAID YOU USED TO BE IN THE POLICE FORCE THINGS HAVE CHANGED BACK HERE NOW IT ISNT SAFE TO WALK THE STREETS IN THE DAY TIME LET ALONE THE NIGHT TIME AND IF YOU EVER RING THE POLICE THEN THEY ARE EITHER TO BUSY OR COME ROUND TWO DAYS LATER AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN BURGLED AND THE THIEVS HAVE MADE OF WITH ALL YOUR BELONGINGS THAT YOU WORK HARD FOR LAST YEAR MY OTHER HALF HAD HER CAR STOLEN IT WAS INVOLED IN A RTA LATER THAT NIGHT WITH THREE YOUTHS SEEN RUNNING AWAY THE POLICE SAID THEY NEW WHO DONE IT BUT DIDNT FIND THEM NOW WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP MY POSESSIONS FROM THE CAR THAT WAS A RIGHT OFF A FOUND A KNIFE THAT WASNT MINE AND THE END OF WHAT LOOKED LIKED A JOINT I NOTIFIED THE POLICE WHAT I HAD FOUND AND THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT NO DNA TEST NO NOTHING THOSE BASTARDS WHO STOLE THE CAR ARE NOW ROAMING THE STREETS FREE DO TO IT AGAIN AND WHO KNOWS MAYBE NEXT TIME KILL SOMEONE THIS COUNTRY IS TOO SOFT IF I HAD MY WAY I WOULD LOCK THEM ALL UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY

BUT I AM SURE THERE IS A FEW DECENT POLICE OFFICERS ITS JUST THAT I AM YET TOO FIND ONE
