In Limassol we have a restaurant called "To steki tou Kalamara" which means "Kalamaras place". Also there are many people that have this word as their surname http://www.cytayellowpages.com.cy/direc ... istrict=NC It is just an innocent nickname ;)

I'm part Kalamaras! And I you could say that all day, I got bigger things in life to worry bout! Hell if we get bent out of shape because someone say's something we don't like might as well not talk to anyone, because everyone has and is entitled to their opinion and say, and they could say things that hurt your feelings or affend you. Life goes on! Cheers.

Yeah, they're sometimes referred to as "kara sakal" , literally "black beard" lol.

I think all governments should impose a tax on beards , including mustaches , in order to raise enough revenue , this will apply equally to women as well as men , the revenue generated could be spend on finding a cure for boldness , -I'm not bold , just hate beards , All beards . Also hate bloody earrings , nose rings , on men that is.
Just a light hearted post folks , even oldies like me have to relax away from politics some times.
