Bareas (or something along those lines) in Oroklini. Really good food and reasonable pricing. For this one, you go up towards Oroklini, to the clock and turn right (so in effect, you are going all the way into the village) and its in a side road on your left. It is sign posted once you turn right at the clock.

Nippon - great Japanese opposite Academy
Momos - next to Nippon. Eccletic menu, really varied
Ranchos - in Strovolos (well worth the drive for the steaks)
Syrian Friendship clue - Engomi (again worth the drive for a really varied, authentic meal)
Masalas - on Dhekalia Rd, best indian in cyprus!
Militzis - superb meze, nice location overlooking the sea

The English version of Time Out for 2006-2007 has just been released.

Hey i used to work at Masalas for a while
I did Friday and Saturday nights doing the bills and preparing drinks and coffees
plus their Accounts/bookeeping every Saturday morning
I did it for 4mnths just before I left to come back home - had to pay my visa card off so needed the extra cash!!! hahaa
anyway beautiful food- I wonder if its the same owner........I got so many recipes from the chefs when I left
the Indian chef still sends christmas cards every year LOL

all the celebrities would eat there - one night the owner rang me to come work as it was a Monday night and Lambis Levaratos was in town so they ended up coming at 10pm to eat!!!
a huge table of people so they catered for them
anyway the cleaner said the girls toilet was full of vomit - so guess some of his startlet friends either got sick or were bulimic!!
Oh I'll definetely have to take Andrew there.......yum!! we both love indian food!

La Cultura de Gusto, Blue Spice & Polyexania Isaacnin Pernera (between Protaras & Paralimini). Excellent food in each.

The one in Oroklini is called Bopeas. Go up main street in Oroklini, at top of street turn right at clock/fountain/bar, when you come to the cheap hotel on the right park just past it, the street directly opposite is the street where Bopeas is on, walk up and have a wonderful Meze.. it's do die for and only 8 pound per person!!! drinks are cheap as well. after your dinner the bar you will pass on the way to Bopeas is wonderful as well. Helen & Andreas Taverna, family run, great atmosphere. Thursdays quiz night, Sundays Karaoke.. all around good time!!
