This is a really weak conversation and also the generalisation of people because of the few mindless idiots(which we have in all races) that like to pester women when drunk.

Cypriot men are romantics at heart and are famed across the globe for their conquest of managing to marry some of the most beautiful women in the world.

Also may i add that some women when they arrive in cyprus act in ways that they would not at home and its usually to get attention from men, so when you get the attention you whinge about it and when you don't you always find a way to get it.

In each culture you can find good and bad people.

Each person is looking for something closer to himself. May be you, nordic light, had a bad experience with Russian blocks, like Honey and myself with Cypriots. It’s not appoint to say bad thinks about another cultures. Everyone has his opinion.

I agree with spindleshanks since for me to accept English culture is easier then Cypriot. I grow up differently (my family is international and grow up in the third country). I’m living in Cyprus for 5 years, till now I can’t accept this behaviour. I just gave up.

I had relationships with British’s, Russians, and Cypriots. Believe me, with the last I forgot then somebody open for me a door and let me to go first.
It’s big difference in the mentality. And we can’t change it.

Hi all, thats sort of a weird discussion.... I'd say different country - different culture. There are differences in behaviour towards women, depending on where you go in the world. And often this is only the reply on how someone behaves. In Cyprus for example I've seen many girls and women, coming on holiday with the expectation to meet boys/men and "have some fun". I will not describe their behaviour! On the other hand of course there are Cypriots they will whistle after women out of their car-window. Let them whistle, whats the problem about it?
My personal experience is that if a women says "No" to a Cypriot he will always be gentleman and accept it.

My general summary: if you do not like the behaviour and style of local people, simply do not go to this country.
