I don't know what TCs ever did to the Kurds for them to treat us and our country the way they do anyways...

Just think who the biggest star in Turkey is T_C. Ibrahim Tatlises is a Kurd and loved by everyone. How many stars have the TCs' got in the "RoC"........Lets get some perspective on the whole issue shall we...

Please don't just echo the typical rhetoric expected of Turks... Try saying something I've never heard before - surprise me... Show me you're right...

Besides - who gives a damn about Ibo?

There are many in Turkey that are perfectly happy. They should all try and be part of Turkey and not pull it apart. Turkey should do more to facilitate for them also and I believe it will. we have so much in common and so we should pull together...You know like the GCs are asking us to do......

See guys!!! always bring it back to the Cyprob........Did you like what I did there...huh! huh!

It’s not a good sign that the Kurdish armed fight is led by the PKK, which was listed as "a terrorist organisation" by the EU Council in 2002. As I imagined that this listing is supported by all good little EU supporting GCs, I am surprised to find any such suggestion in this forum.

Believe me, this will never happen again. Ask the Azeri Turks.

And the same applies to Cypriots. All should try and be part of Cyprus and not try and pull it apart. Cyprus has been ONE for thousands of years .No one has the right to demand the break up of the island.
It is right that partition should be resisted vehemently and the unification of the nation promoted by all true Cypriots.

When will Turkey cede territory in her east for the formation of a Kurdish state aptly named the "Kurdish Republic of Eastern Turkey" (KRET) ?

Turkey must show the world how PARTITION is done for the sake of her 30 million strong "minority" so that the Republic of Cyprus may learn and follow suit for the Turkish Cypriots with their "TRNC".

The recognition and formation of the "KRET" should be DIRECTLY LINKED to any recognition of the "TRNC" by the EU.

Thanks, Get Real - for showing the other side of the coin, to the Turks... And your nick is very catchy - at least you live up to it... :)

I'm Kurdish... And I'm from the "Dogu" or "South-East" - and I am not happy about the Turks here trying to paint my people in their chosen colour... Again... As they always try to do...

For starters, there are more than 20 million Kurds in Turkey. More than 5 million in Istanbul alone (known as: the worlds largest Kurdish metropol(!) )...

We're denied basic human rights - such as speaking our own language, without prosecution, torture or imprisonment... Heck, that's just the start of it... People would and still may "disappear" for owning a Kurdish cassette or VCD... It's illegal, you know... Maybe not on "paper" - but surely in their minds...

You know you Greeks should enforce some of the Turkish laws (forced upon Kurds)...

Next time you hear a man, woman or little child speaking in Turkish, torture him/her and throw him/her into jail - for terrorism...

Maybe that would wake them up from their dandy dreams and sweet sleep...

PAHAHAH what a load of absolute shite!!! SO 1/3 of Istanbul is made up of Kurds? I dont know what city you are living in my friend but having spent a lot of time there i can assure you that your facts are absolutely crap and you are nothing but a propaganda merchant!

Not all Kurds are dying to take land from Turkey and set up Kurdistan, just the animals that support that asshole Barzani who's time is running out anyway, soon he will also wake up in a Turkish prison just like his buddy Ocalan who must be getting lonely by now

Coincidentally, Talabani has stated in different occasions that an independent Kurdish state is nothing but a dream and it is just not feasible, and youre facts about the Kurds being tortured etc. its an extreme over-dramatization of reality, i know MANY Kurds who have been rooted in Turkey for generations and have absolutely no trouble being "Kurdish", Turkey might not have the most "accurate" anti-terror policies but neither does America nor anyone else, being tortured was not exclusive to Kurds alone, plenty of Turks got tortured as well in the past and Turkey is not the only country to do so, so stop your whining...

The cassettes and VCD, you so innocently seem to be holding usually turn out to be propaganda videos for the PKK training camps, and the Kurds that get arrested are not because they are Kurdish but because they are suspected terrorists, you even got your stupid little party now (DTP) which openly supports the actions of the PKK animals, and the families of the murdered people have to sit around and watch those assholes talk on TV and talk about how its Turkey who should bring a non-violent solution to the Kurdish problem, because its not important that they have killed 40,000 people in the last decade!

Let alone having "basic human rights" some of these people should be shot on sight the bastards!

I understand that there are in fact mixed villages and mixed marriages between Turkish and Kurdish. One of the local gardeners here told me his mum is Kurdish and his Father is Turkish. Not all Kurdish people want their own state, nor are all Kurdish people terrorists, and even if they had their own state - how will they fund hospitals and schools etc? The remote areas where some of them live is primitive beyond belief and they benefit from heath and education provided by Turkey.
