Kurdish Republic of Eastern Turkey (KRET)

Everything related to politics in Cyprus and the rest of the world.

They are probably relying on the petrol they are sitting on in northern Iraq and their new uncle Sam who would do anything for a piece of the cake, even support terrorists and it wont be their first time either.

Its no surprise that the PKK attacks, after laying low for so long, have escalated all of a sudden even though the governments of Turkey have come a long way in treating them with more respect and giving them more minority rights including a Kurdish party, so it is not about the rights of the Kurds in Turkey anymore.

Do you think it is a coincidence that all this is happening around the same time when the US is deciding to remove its forces by 2008? These fuckers have to hurry up and pull us in there and make us face the US in order to ruin our relations with them, because the US cannot support both us and them at the same time when they are the ones who keep killing while no ones is looking meanwhile we are forced by the rest of the world to find "non-violent solutions" and some fools are even trying to remove the PKK from the list of world wide recognized terrorist organizations! : /

no one is comparing you to the Kurds. The Kurds have rights over those lands cause they are indegenous to them....you on the other hand are not indegenous to the North of the island. The TC population was spread across the island however the GC's were a majority in the north and the south.

Please describe me how you define "indigenousness", because i am not entirely certain that you are actually indigenous to this island (since true indigenousness is almost extinct from the face of the earth), rather another invader just like everyone else through out the history of Cyprus.

I was born and raised here, does that make me indigenous too or do i have to have an X amount of history that would qualify me as "indigenous"?

If so, going by your logic, does it mean that any people who have traveled away from their "indigenous" lands, should now have the right to go back and claim it?

ie. some of us should go bitch at the current owners of Central Asia and claim it back?

You're quite right Shah - when referring to a person (or people) as indigenous it implies of aboriginal origin. Are the Kurds aboriginal?

I very much doubt it Stuart, "indigenous" means "naturally occurring..." therefore pointing towards the evolution of the given people or species as i understand it.

I believe it is a very seriously misused word within this forum, by the people who are desperately trying to find material that will help them advocate their sick and racist attitude towards other people, it stinks of Kifeas and Piratis all the way through and we all know what both of them are really made of. I thought DT was more on the "moderate" side of the chain but i guess i was wrong.

So i think its time we bring an end to this "indigenous" crap and remove it from this discussion all together because its not only irrelevant but also a false argument based on no absolute scientific proof what so ever.

How would you like me to come to Morphou and slap you stupid all the way to Chirokitia, ram your face in the ruins of my ancestors repeatedly, and then drag you by the hair all the way back to Morphou while kicking you in the butt?

You no like? Well don’t FUCK with my inheritance…
