StuartN, this is a map of the Greek speaking world in 500BC.

Image

Looking at that map, would you describe "The Greeks" as

1. indigenous
2. sea faring traders and colonists and settlers
3. empire building murderers and thieves

What is the fairest description for "the Greeks" ?

Hint : Notice Cyprus, Sicily, Corsica and Sardinia are not completely coloured "Greek" ? What does that tell you ?

Unfinished Archaelogy. No?

Let us stop the Shahmaran bashing . Are we talking of Indigineous Cypriots? If we follow GRs example, I would ask where are they. Dont you have to speak the 'Indigineous Language ' as well? Show me one, and I will be convinced. Or are we tying all these up with the Cypro-Minoan Language group and then on to the Greek language as we know of it today?

No! The point was that, you, with no absolute proof what so ever, were trying to be smart by trying to justify the existence of "Kurdistan" by juxtaposing the rights of the Kurds with the rights of the GC's, through the argument that they were both the "indigenous people" of their current locations and there fore they should have a natural right to the land, and i have just explained to you why that is not possible!

Thats why it is in the RIGHT thread!

First time when i read your argument i actually blew in laughter covering my monitor in saliva, thats how much of a ridiculous comparison it was, not only the comparison but also the fact that you have taken your sweet time to actually prepare such crap, and judging by your insults towards me i can assume that you have started to see it yourself as well

I haven’t studied the ORIGINS of Kurds as it goes beyond the scope of my interest so I’m unable to discuss it with you and I assure you that I did not blend indigenousness with the creation of a “TRNC” or “KRET”. If I were to do that the TC community would automatically not qualify for any state on Cyprus as they are not indigenous to the island.

My god GR! you are much thicker then i suspected! Or maybe you are smoking some of that fine heroin you have imported from us

Read again what indigenous means and come back...

His desperate desire to be acknowledged as a "intellectual genius" has actually turned him in to an "intellectually challenged retard".

AHAHAH Eric Dayi!

As they say, people come across to be the most stupid when they are actually trying to sound clever, oh the irony

@Shahmaran

You mean kind of like yourself and your "clever" reply to my post?

I've made a note of you... The fascist *slash* racist, hypocrit guy...

But don't worry - I won't break your nutt of a brain with my overwhelming logic and reason... It'll probably be too much for you to comprehend...

A minor assertion: the DTP and the PKK do not represent the Kurdish people.

I'm an anti-PKK Kurd, seeking home rule, not division...

Cyprus was great against RoI. The luck of the Irish. What can one say. Cyprus deserved to win by a mile.

You should see what the Irish fans are posting on their forums right now... "We should've lost 3-0" etc... :(

I nearly fainted with that equalizer...

How cute  I suggest you come out straight and affirm your stance on the matter, rather then dance around it, so we can actually get down to business...

To be honest i have nothing to be clever about the Kurdish "situation" in Turkey and i respect anyone who respects our borders and i do realize Turkeys mistakes towards the minorities and towards its own people as a matter of fact, however I still cant help but wonder, who does ACTUALLY represent the non-violent and extremist Kurdish people? Because i have nothing against Kurds as a race and nothing against no race in specific to be honest, just against the ones who seem to think killing Turks in Turkey, and attacking "Turkishnes" abroad will get them their independent state, those are the people i severely oppose to and if you are one of them *which you claim you are not* then i advice you to mark my name down in capital letters! ;)

End game here is Kurds, 20% of Turkish population do not deserve separate state or autonomy because they are a minority. Turkish Cypriots with 18 per cent of population not only deserve a separate state but that state should take 37% of territory becuase they are not a minority, they are equal partneres in Cyprus.

In Turkey when anyone says Kurds are partners they are committing a crime against Turkishness (it is in the penal code, look it up).

Shah you are the master of double standards! I take my hat off to you!
