How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sorry but nothing will convince me to support Tassos and I never did......He cannot get us out of the mess we are in.

Turkey has a habit of signing on the dotted line and then "changing" her mind the next day and this should be an eye-opener for anyone who still thinks that Turkey would've kept her side of the bargain in the Annan Plan, such as removing troops at specific dates etc, a plan that would've dragged on for two whole decades constantly relying heavily on Turkey's "word of honor"!!!

Wake up people...

Come on GR, Pres. Makarios also signed on the dotted line.

Not that I agree with what you're implying here but how is it technically appropriate to jump to the Makarios days now? Are you not aware of the number of times Turkey has dishonored her signature in the last 5 years?

GR it seems common practice to dishonour signatures, so why make an issue of it. Make sure you never wash your hand again. (the one that shook Tpapa hand)

I don't believe you're saying that! We're talking about INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS like the Ankara Protocol that Turkey has dishonored and you're saying that it's "common practise" ???

Where is all this leading??

Postby cymart » Wed Nov 21, 2007 10:26 am

The best thing we can do is hope the supporters of Christophias and Cassoulides wake-up and make them change their campaigning tactics, rather than going on about the Annan Plan which is the centre pont of Papad's strategy since he has nothing else to offer anyone! There are still three months to go and a lot can be achieved in that space of time...

Poor Cymart is clueless that both Christofias' and Kasshoulides' ONLY plan is to bring back the Annan Plan so that Cyprus may forever be tormented by rogue Turkey!

READ UP AND UNDERSTAND WHAT THE OTHER CANDIDATES REPRESENT BEFORE YOU VOTE OR EVEN COMMENT HERE CYMART!

The Annan Plan died on the 24/04/04

Postby cymart » Wed Nov 21, 2007 5:56 pm

But even after that,Papad. said that it could be accepted provided changes to it were agreed between the two sides first, yet now he tells us that it was disastrous and would have lead to partition etc!How can anyone with any sense even consider believing anything he says, let alone trust him with running the country!Neither of the other two main candidates have ever said anything about trying to bring back the Annan Plan because they realise it no longer applies so why are Papad. and his cronies still going on about it???

Obviously the changes were not made to the President's satisfaction.
Why should there be any hard and fast rules?

Do you prefer a President that is not as scrutinizing as Papadopoulos has proved to be? :?
