Its bullshit thats its illegal. Its a natural thing. Keeping it illegal causes more crime but if we legalized it i think the world would be a better place. Its like with a child if u tell him not to touch something more often then not he will. I wonder what jails are like in cyprus?

Theodoros, you opened this thread with certain queries regarding the availability of 'weed' and it's cultivation in Cyprus.

You have received what I would consider to be negative responses to your questions and suspect you may be a little disappointed.

You also seem to be somewhat interested in the prison system here.

I feel obliged to inform you that your two subjects go hand in hand on this island, the use of hallucinogenic substances is frowned on by the legal authorities and I would advise caution should you anticipate a visit, it may well extend beyond your expectations my friend.

Retrieving your fallen soap may well prove to be an arduous task should you find yourself incarcerated in our jails (more so if a Turk is your cellmate), the general treatment of offenders here is a little different to what one would expect in other countries.

You have implied that you are something of an expert when it comes to the quality of the 'weed' you enquire after, you compare it to what is available in Holland.

Since you finally state that you have not savoured the delights of 'weed' for some 3 years or so, I wonder what is the purpose of your enquiries?.

You have only posted on 10 occasions, other than an initial post regarding the details of an accommodation, the remainder have been directed at the two principle topics plus the revelation that you are Canadian.

Welcome to the forum Theodoros, good luck with your future postings and may I offer you some sound advice?, tread carefully should your feet touch our hallowed shores, lest you find yourself 'weeded out'.

Your above post should form the basis of an information leaflet distributed at the airports.

(Perhaps omitting the reference to Turkish cellmates  )

speaking of which, that "turkish" comment eliko made was totally uncalled for.

But Eliko is particularly well informed. I for one, respect his humble opinion.

He does not make comments lightly or purely in jest

but they call it "greek style" for a reason.

GorillaGal, I must assume that you have seen the film 'Midnight Express', you will no doubt have noticed the awful conditions the inmates had to endure.

I can readily assure you that there are still such places in existence today and reality is reality, there is little point in hiding behind recent P.C. niceties when trying to illustrate such reality.

A little research might be a good idea, I would not propose that which I was not certain of (in those circumstances) you may rest assured of that my dear.

being P.C. is the first step in solving the CY PROB , which is what i assume this forum is about, in a large part. it starts with just one person.
