...water wars,

https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/origin ... y%20Turkey

...it is not the first time that water is politicised, and used as a weapon by Erdogan's Turkey.

...who remembers the Euphrates, those downstream from it not so long ago.

...and of course what Cypriot can forget the "Peace Pipe".

Turkey deployed 1000 special forces soldiers on the Greek - Turkish border.

Here is a video showing them kicking and beating the illegal immigrants trying to return back after being repelled by Greek authorities..

They are also firing tear gas at Greek authorities.

It was such a joy to watch Putin play Erdogan and his gang of criminals in the palm of his hand in Moscow on the 5th to bring about cease fire in Idlib. :D

So this is what happened. Erdogan arrives with a large entourage to meet Putin, who only had couple of his high profile aids. Putin Erdogan shake hands and then Putin led Erdogan to his seat and as soon as Erdogan took his heat, Putin approached few feet towards Erdogan’s gang of criminals and flagged them to come to him like servants to shake his hand. The gang rushed forward in a hurry to shake his hand as they were all tripping on themselves to reach for Putin’s hand as he was handing out candy to children. Erdogan seeing his gang almost licking Putin’s boots with excitement, stood up and went to shake the hands of couple of Russian officials. It was so funny to watch. :D

I am sure the gang got a lot of bollocking from the chief mobster Erdogan on the flight back home. :D

The Turkish military was boasting about the number of Syrian military assets and forces it neutralized, in only a few days and up to the time the new cease fire was to come in to affect.

Apparently, according to them, it was in the thousands, Apparently, their drones were wrecking havoc in Syria. Apparently, they would have you beleive, that they are 'winning'.

But after it was all said and done, the result was no new land gains for them. Actually, the Syrian "exhausted and depleted" army gained parts of idlib and the terrorist opposition groups had retreated to Turkish observation posts for refuge.

Why would Erdogan be in Moscow licking Putins boots and demanding help from NATO Allies.

Why would the result of all this be a strategic defeat for Turkey while requiring help from the west....?

Turks exaggerate on everything because they are very insecure. If Turkey was causing such damage to the Syrians and killing thousands, why would you want to have a ceasefire? The truth is, they lost about 13 unmanned vehicles in the air, they lost about 60 Turkish soldiers and we haven’t heard how many hundreds of lives lost by the rebels which Turkey support illegally.

Erdogan was desperate to go to Moscow and Putin made him wait until the Syrians on the ground reached their desired objectives. In the end, Turkey got what Putin offered him a week earlier before most of the Turkish soldiers got killed, but Erdogan was too proud to accept the deal back then. In Moscow after 6 hours of “crying”, he was offered the same deal which he had to take or else get his ass kicked some more in Idlib. Putin put Erdogan in his place, but don’t expect the ceasefire to last for too long, because Erdogan will try again to win Idlib and the Syrians and the Russians will be waiting for him as they would want to clear the Idlib area of the Turks and all their terrorist Proxies. Once that area has been cleared, the Syrians will move to the Northeast part to kick the Turks out of that area, especially as the Russians are already there!

Before he disappeared, Kamalmaz traveled around the world helping victims of war and natural disasters in places like Indonesia following the 2004 tsunami and New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. As a psychotherapist, he worked with refugee communities using a stress management method known as HeartMath.

When the war broke out in Syria, he looked for ways to address the mental health crisis among Syrians displaced to neighboring countries. Prior to his disappearance, Kamalmaz was developing a program for elderly refugees in Lebanon.

“He’s helped so many,” Maryam said. “We’re requesting now for anybody that could help us to step forward.”

“All sides of the war have been engaged in the oil trade and profited from it, so in this aspect, the Turkish-backed factions are not unique,” said Tsurkov.

A year after groups in Eastern Syria, particularly the Kurdish fighters, helped defeat ISIS, they lack even water for their homes during a global pandemic.

...nothing new it seems, even with a pandemic.

...the warring continues,

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/04/ ... 37725.html

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Turkey blamed the attack on the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

Ankara accuses the YPG of being the Syrian offshoot of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has waged an armed rebellion against Turkey since 1984. The PKK is considered a "terrorist group" by Ankara and many Western nations.

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces Council on Wednesday accused Turkey of allowing "terrorist organisations" to regroup and launch such attacks, a reference to the armed group ISIL (ISIS).

Syrian Kurds have played a major role in fighting ISIL in Syria.

"We in the council condemn and denounce this cowardly terrorist act that targeted innocent civilians and threatens the remaining sons of Afrin to move and leave their villages and cities," the council said.

...it just does not stop, the weaponisation of water goes on.

Eqiza continued, “We and our partners are supporting families in the city of al-Hassakeh and camps for displaced families with water trucking where needed, but this barely covers minimum needs if the water supply continues to be interrupted. UNICEF has repeatedly called upon all those involved not to use water and water facilities for military or political gain. But our calls continue to fall on deaf ears and children are the ones who suffer first and most.”
