How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

i support alexios and piratis views on who gets to become a MP.
matsakis actions are typical for patriots :)
first steal from your own country, and when the enemy is not around be as loud as possible.
not even the tc press didnt take him seriously

Rafaella

You seem to be quite an expert on your interpretation of history and I am impressed. Can you also tell me what your vision of Cyprus is in ten/twenty/thirty years time, and what will happen with the present population?

At this rate,in 20/30 years time there will be no TCs left in the TRNC.They will all be living in the RoC perfectly in harmony with their GC brothers and sisters. In the North the population will be about 800,000,entirely made up of settlers and their children, also called "new Cypriots".
Talat will still be their President and he will be insisting on a solution based on majority rule.Oh, the number of Turkish soldiers will be 100,000,mainly to keep the peace between the New Cypriots!

The way we are going in this mad country, anything is possible Birkibrisly..I am lately becoming more convinced that too many politicians have too much to lose from a solution. They built whole careers, they created social and economic interests, and have gained political power, all based on the problem.Without the problem they stand to lose everything...

You are not wrong,Alexios.
Our problem is we have too many politicians and no statesmen or stateswomen.People become politicians for personal gain. They will do anything to preserve their privileges.Imagine what would happen if there was a solution tomorrow. In the TRNC alone, all those politicians who are getting kickbacks from casino operators, real estate developers, brothel owners, black money launderers, people smugglers, and other assorted outlaws will lose their livelihood. They have too much to lose.,you are absolutely right.

Welcome to the forum Zan!
I'm glad to see that from all the members in here you spoted me :D
I guess I attrack people like nobody
I'm also glad that you're impressed, did you read my latest book?

Well, history doesn't need interpretation, does it? Facts are there.
Some people though make their own interpretation to suit their position and interests. Here, I'd like to use a quotation from a member of this forum, MicAtCy, who's been away from the forum lately:
WHEN THE TURKS SAY THE COLOUR OF THE MILK IS BLACK, SOME FOOLS START WONDERING IF IT REALLY IS BLACK, SO THEY GO CHECK IT….AND WHAT A SURPRISE: IT IS NOT BLACK IT’S WHITE.
THEN THE TURKS COME BACK AND SAY: “YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT IT WITH CLOSED EYES”. THEN THE FOOLS GO LOOK AT IT AND…HEY THE TURKS ARE RIGHT, THE COLOUR OF THE MILK IS BLACK!!!
THEN THEY START NEGOTIATIONS TO DEFINE MILK AS BEING EQUALLY BLACK AND EQUALLY WHITE.

Regarding my vision for Cyprus, I'm working on it.
I mean, I won't be on the hustings for a few more years , therefore I'll keep you on hold.
As for the fate of the present population I need to get advice from my personal assistand, and a great fortune teller, Dr Kypros Kserolas-Kalotihis.
Thank you

history is not just facts. it is the interpratation of them. as a result objective history does not exist.

i would say that the attitude of the little story is the one that lead us nowhere. milk is indeed white, but when it comes to more abstract concepts like truth or reality, democracy, human rights, who started first whose fault it is, how much should i get, how much should u get, the gray or even the colourful approach is sometimes better.

Rafealla

The reason I chose you is because you seem to be the most outspoken racist here. If you are unable to predict a future for Cyprus after forming the views you have, then why should any one believe anything you say? Perhaps you should leave the thinking for the men who are capable of thinking more than five minutes ahead and sod the consequences.
