Well, history doesn't need interpretation, does it? Facts are there.
Some people though make their own interpretation to suit their position and interests.

LET'S FACE REALITY

Postby Vassos1 » Thu Nov 03, 2005 3:05 pm

I think we Greek Cypriots are clouded with what the real issue concerning Cyprus today. Turkey is obviously filtering a large amount of Turks, disguising as Kurdish refuges, into our Republic of Cyprus. Also Turkey is very happy to sit back and wait for the population of Cyprus to one day swing towards the Turkish side. I think that we should cut loose from these Turks now while we’ve got the chance, before we are faced with another pointless power-sharing formula. If we continue to seek a “unification” policy, we will no doubt one day become the minority. Remember, under EU law, we will have no choice but to accept these people as “Refugees”. Let’s cut loose from them officially now before we suddenly wake up to a Majority Turkish population.

i would say that the attitude of the little story is the one that lead us nowhere. milk is indeed white, but when it comes to more abstract concepts like truth or reality, democracy, human rights, who started first whose fault it is, how much should i get, how much should u get, the gray or even the colourful approach is sometimes better.

Cypezokyli, nice to hear from you (but I suspect I was the one who was away from this forum for a week or so).
But,listen, milk is indeed white but parts of it are whiter than other parts.
The part at the top (kaymak, kaimaki in Greek?) is positively less white then the part at the bottom.Ask "zan" he'll tell you milk is black.
Don't forget our "rendevous' with Sadik and Bananiot (and please can we invite Kifeas as well?) to drink ourselves silly at Paphos and Kyrenia.
Cheers mate

You seem to be quite an expert on your interpretation of history and I am impressed. Can you also tell me what your vision of Cyprus is in ten/twenty/thirty years time, and what will happen with the present population?

Welcome to the forum Zan!
I'm glad to see that from all the members in here you spoted me :D
I guess I attrack people like nobody
I'm also glad that you're impressed, did you read my latest book?

Well, history doesn't need interpretation, does it? Facts are there.
Some people though make their own interpretation to suit their position and interests. Here, I'd like to use a quotation from a member of this forum, MicAtCy, who's been away from the forum lately:
WHEN THE TURKS SAY THE COLOUR OF THE MILK IS BLACK, SOME FOOLS START WONDERING IF IT REALLY IS BLACK, SO THEY GO CHECK IT….AND WHAT A SURPRISE: IT IS NOT BLACK IT’S WHITE.
THEN THE TURKS COME BACK AND SAY: “YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT IT WITH CLOSED EYES”. THEN THE FOOLS GO LOOK AT IT AND…HEY THE TURKS ARE RIGHT, THE COLOUR OF THE MILK IS BLACK!!!
THEN THEY START NEGOTIATIONS TO DEFINE MILK AS BEING EQUALLY BLACK AND EQUALLY WHITE.

Regarding my vision for Cyprus, I'm working on it.
I mean, I won't be on the hustings for a few more years , therefore I'll keep you on hold.
As for the fate of the present population I need to get advice from my personal assistand, and a great fortune teller, Dr Kypros Kserolas-Kalotihis.
Thank you

Rafaella,
Where is MicAtCy anyway, his intellect is sadly missed.
Can I join you on the hustings? We can run on the same ticket,a GC and a TC,we will be unstoppable :D
Finally,is Dr Kypros Kserolas-Kalotihis a real person?

Perhaps your drinking far too much contaminated milk and cannot see the woods for the udders. Its time to get out from under the cow and take a good look around. I am glad to see that you trust others more than your own. I am sure your grand parents would be glad to hear that.

I have not mentioned milk, anti Greek or any anti words so far except for anti racism. You however have been slagging off your own people in order to gain you points with your friends. You will realise as you get older that they will not appreciate your lily livered self loathing just about the time that you grow up. They are proud to be Greek and so they should be. It is you who are lost in limbo.

Merhaba Zan,
My grandparents spoke better Cypriot Greek than Turkish, and lived in harmony with their compatriots for decades. They were better Turkish Cypriots than you and I will ever be.But because of the ultra nationalistic lunacy that gripped Cyprus from early 50s,they had to leave their beautiful village in Paphos and died as heartbroken penniless refugees in the NOrth.
I have made it my mission to fight this curse that is called nationalism wherever I find it.BTW,how old do you think I am?You might be in for a surprise.

My grandmother never learnt to speak Turkish at all. She died penniless in a house made of mud in a Greek village. If my family had not been forced out of our own country years ago by EOKA terrorists, I might have grown up in Cyprus and looked after her. It breaks my heart, but time moves on.

Why is it that you choose to blame the Turkish Cypriots, who (the criminal element that is) have to take their share of the blame, and not the EOKA terrorists like Makarios and Grivas and Samson.

The reason I chose you is because you seem to be the most outspoken racist here. If you are unable to predict a future for Cyprus after forming the views you have, then why should any one believe anything you say?

Rafaella, the chosen outspoken racist.
Anyway, first learn how to write my name and then believe whatever you want.

Another male with the anatolian syndrom.
Why do you talk to me like that? I'm not your mother, your sister or your wife who accept and are used to this kind of mongolian attidute and behavior.

I don't know where Mic is. It's true, we missed his intellect. :(

Birkibrisli wrote:Can I join you on the hustings? We can run on the same ticket,a GC and a TC,we will be unstoppable :D

Of you can join me! :D
We can form a political party which will be consisted of Gcs & Tcs who can fight against all odds. Agree?

Birkibrisli wrote:Finally,is Dr Kypros Kserolas-Kalotihis a real person?

 Kypros=Cyprus, Kserolas=the one who knows or thinks he knows everything, Kalotihis=there's no such a word, it's my invention which means the one who has good luck
