But it certainly does sound like his sense of humour that's for sure.

Thing is, I have never seen him "try to explain God". That's just made up baloney because all his discoveries seem to challenge your belief.

Furthermore, we all know that Scientists such as Stephen Hawking and Richard Dawkins embark on some element of sensationalism in order to create the controversy needed to promote their Books into Best Sellers.

Richard Dawkins in particular does this, but that does not negate his very valid research and findings. Also, you will find that the books Richard Dawkins has written about religiosity are more Philosophically Inclined rather than scientific and that is a completely different subject altogether. Neither have stated that the Science has proven the non existence of God. They are just Atheistic and being Atheist does not mean that you 100% believe that God does not exist. Even those that classify themselves as strong Atheists still have an element of Agnosticism within their thinking if you dig deep enough.

With due respect to those that believe in the existence of a creator, let me ask one simple question.

Why is it that wherever on earth there are firm believers, there are also murders, hatred, suffering and illiteracy. One would have thought that those, mostly ill educated, religious people , GR for one, are so vindictive and cruel to their fellow humans. Boko Haram comes to mind !! GR, wishing that the 1953 Cyprus earthquake had wiped out my entire family !!!

The worlds cruelty is generated by those driven by these bizarre nonsense .
